Autonomous home security devices
An aerial vehicle is programmed or configured to respond to reports of events or conditions within spaces of a facility. The aerial vehicle travels to a location of a reported event or condition and captures data using onboard sensors. The aerial vehicle independently determines whether the reported event or condition is occurring, or is otherwise properly addressed by resources that are available at the location, using images or other data captured by the onboard sensors. Alternatively, the aerial vehicle transmits a request for additional resources to be provided at the location, where necessary. A map of the location generated based on images or other data captured by the onboard sensors may be utilized for any purpose, such as to make one or more recommendations of products that are appropriate for use at the facility.
NOTIFICATION OF EVENT SUBSEQUENT TO COMMUNICATION FAILURE WITH SECURITY SYSTEM
Methods and systems for monitoring a premises are described. A server external to the premises may be in communication with a system at the premises. The server may receive status data from the system from one or more interfaces. If a loss of communication occurs on one interface, then the status data may be received via a second interface. The server may determine timing information for status data received via the first interface and for status data received via the second interface. The server may send, based on the timing information, a message to a computing device indicating the loss of communication.
LOCKDOWN APPARATUS FOR INITIATION OF LOCKDOWN PROCEDURES AT A FACILITY DURING AN EMERGENCY
Some embodiments are directed to a lockdown apparatus for facilitating initiation of lockdown procedures at a facility that includes multiple doors and is configured for occupation by facility occupants. A lockdown actuator is disposed at the facility and configured to initiate transmission of a lockdown initiation signal upon being actuated, the lockdown actuator being configured to be recognizably distinguishable from the fire alarm actuator. A lockdown communicator is configured to produce a lockdown initiation communication for communicating initiation of lockdown procedures to the facility occupants and individuals not disposed proximate the facility upon transmission of the lockdown initiation signal, the lockdown initiation communication being recognizably distinguishable from the fire alarm communication. A display is configured to indicate status of each of the multiple doors of the facility upon transmission of the lockdown initiation signal, the status including at least one of open versus closed, and locked versus unlocked.
Devices, methods, and associated information processing for security in a smart-sensored home
This patent specification relates to apparatus, systems, methods, and related computer program products for providing home security objectives, such as calculating a security score for a home. More particularly, this patent specification relates to a plurality of devices, including intelligent, multi-sensing, network-connected devices, that communicate with each other and/or with a central server or a cloud-computing system to provide any of a variety of useful home security objectives, such as calculating a security score for a home.

Fall-Off Detection Method for Wearable Device and Wearable Device
Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a fall-off detection method for a wearable device and a wearable device. The method includes collecting physiological parameter information and activity information of a wearer of the wearable device; when an abnormality is detected in the physiological parameter information of the wearer of the wearable device and a time of the abnormality exceeds a preset time, determining that the wearable device falls off from the wearer; when it is determined that the wearable device falls off from the wearer, determining, according to the collected physiological parameter information and activity information of the wearer of the wearable device, a scenario mode that the wearer is in; and sending, according to the scenario mode that the wearer is in, an indication corresponding to the scenario mode.
OCCUPANCY DETECTION BY SOCIAL MEDIA
A method for security and/or automation systems is described. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving social media data via a signal, analyzing the social media data based at least in part on a first parameter, identifying occupancy information based at least in part on the analyzing, and assessing a structure occupancy based at least in part on the identifying.
Distress alert systems and processes related thereto
Systems and processes for initiating a rescue, using peer-to-peer distress alert systems, are described. An exemplar process of initiating, from a distressed vessel, a recue includes: (i) generating an outgoing distress signal that includes a distress signal and distressed vessel location information; (ii) broadcasting the outgoing distress signal to one or more potential rescue vessels located away from the distressed vessel; (iii) receiving, from one or more of the potential rescue vessels, one or more outgoing rescue signals, each of which includes potential rescue vessel location information; (iv) of identifying, using the potential rescue vessel location information from one or more of the potential rescue vessels and vessel location information of the distressed vessel, one or more rescue potential rescue vessels that are suitable for rescuing the distress vessel; and (v) transmitting, from the distressed vessel, a confirmation rescue signal to each of the potential rescue vessels that are suitable for rescuing the distress vessel.
Integrated fire and emergency management system
An integrated fire and emergency management system comprised of standard emergency devices wherein each device is equipped with a sensing device configured for detecting and reporting to a server, by way of a transceiver, to a Central Management Software which connects to the Internet and all manner of private networks. The devices include alarm bells, extinguishers, manual alarm stations, battery-backed emergency lights which also comprise infrared, smoke, and motion detectors, sprinklers from a sprinkler system, smoke detectors (6 in 1), a display screen for displaying evacuation instructions, and light strips along the walls to indicate the best exit route. The 6-in-1 smoke detectors send their readings to the server where the Central Management Software has an algorithm that determines the best evacuation route that minimizes exposure to smoke and noxious gases.
Alerting on proximity of items
An apparatus alerts on a distance between items. The apparatus includes a radio for communicating with an internet of things (IoT) tag on an item. A locator module determines a distance between two or more items, and an alertor module alerts a user to a violation of a proximity rule.
