Smart measurement system

A system and method are presented for collecting and retrieving characterization data of measurement devices, such as flow meters. The system includes a meter, a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag for storing the meter characterization data, and electronics, such as a totalizer, to read the characterization data from the RFID tag and calibrate the meter measurements using the characterization data.

Hand hygiene compliance monitoring

A system and associated processes monitor hand hygiene compliance. The system includes hand hygiene product dispensers positioned within areas of concern (AOC) in a facility in which hand hygiene events are to be monitored. The dispensers detect dispense events initiated at the dispenser and transmit a dispense event signal indicative that a dispense event occurred along with dispenser identification information. The system also includes a plurality of compliance badges, each worn by a different person in the facility. Each compliance badge receives dispense event signals corresponding dispenser identification information associated with dispense events initiated by the wearer of the compliance badge. The badges store dispense event records associated with each dispense event initiated by the wearer and thus keep track of all dispense events initiated by the wearer of the compliance badge. One or more data gathering stations positioned at various locations through the facility receive the dispense event information from the individual badges when they come within range. The dispense event information may then be transferred to a local or remote computer for analysis and reporting on hand hygiene events taking place within the facility.

Updating firmware

Example implementations relate to updating firmware. For example, a system according to the present disclosure may include a printing device and a computing device. The printing device may be on a network. The printing device may detect an intrusion against the printing device. The computing device may be on the network. The computing device may receive a broadcast reporting the intrusion directly from the printing device. The computing device may request, responsive to receiving the broadcast, an updated portion of a firmware code image for the computing device.

Telemetry integrated system

A system for the integrated/functional detection of different measurements is described. The system comprises a part wearable by a driver of a vehicle and plurality of sensors integrated in the wearable part and configured to supply the following driver parameters: breathing parameters, heart parameters, perspiration parameters and of the pressure exerted on the vehicle driving wheel. The system also includes a processor for processing the driver parameters and correlating them to a driver psychophysical condition.

Self-retracting lanyard with fall protection harness tracker

A self-retracting lanyard including a main body and a retractable line. The retractable line is coupled to the main body so as to be extendible and retractable relative to the main body and to be restricted from extending relative to the main body in response to a user of the self-retracting lanyard falling. The self-retracting lanyard further includes a manual control operable by the user to initiate controlled descent of the retractable line relative to the main body. The manual control may be operable by the user to deliver a fluid (e.g. compressed gas) from a fluid supply disposed in a housing of the manual control to an actuator of the main body to initiate controlled descent. Solar panel(s) may be disposed on the main body. When the retractable line is retracted, the housing may dock with and be charged by a solar powered charger disposed on the main body.

Abnormality prediction device, abnormality prediction system, abnormality prediction method, biological information measuring device, biological information measuring system, and warning notification method

An abnormality prediction device includes a detection unit that detects detection information including at least one of biological information of a user and body motion information regarding a body motion of the user, a premonitory symptom determination unit (control unit) that determines whether a premonitory symptom has occurred in the user on the basis of the detection information detected by the detection unit and a premonitory pattern which is a pattern of the detection information according to the premonitory symptom of abnormality occurring in the user, and an information output unit (control unit) that, when the premonitory symptom determination unit determines that the premonitory symptom has occurred, outputs notification information indicating that occurrence of abnormality in the user is predicted.

Multi-context exploit test management

An input handler receives an exploit test request specifying at least one exploit to be tested against at least one application in at least one execution environment. A deployment engine deploys the at least one execution environment including instantiating a container providing a virtual machine image and configured based on the exploit test request, the instantiated container including the at least one application. A scheduler schedules execution of the at least one execution environment within at least one execution engine, including scheduling an injection of the at least one exploit as specified in the exploit test request. A report generator generates an exploit test report characterizing a result of the at least one exploit being injected into the at least one execution environment of the at least one execution engine.

Walker safety device

A safety device for a walker includes a distance measuring sensor for determining whether a user is at too far or too close distances relative to the front side of the walker. The sensor provides data to a CPU processor indicative of such events. The processor includes logic which analyzes such data and provides audial, visual and/or tactile stimuli to the user warning the user that he/she is at undesirable distances relative to the walker. The process logic can be modified so as to vary the type and/or frequency of warnings given to the user.

ABERRATION ENGINE

An aberration engine that collects data sensed by a monitoring system that monitors a property of a user and aggregates the collected data over a period of a time. The aberration engine detects, within the aggregated data, patterns of recurring events and, based on detecting the patterns of recurring events within the aggregated data, takes action related to the monitoring system based on the detected patterns of recurring events within the aggregated data.
