Routing systems and methods
Example routing systems and methods are described. In one implementation, a first set of routing systems is interfaced with a network connection via a network interface. A second set of routing systems interfaced with a secure system is configured to receive information from the first set of routing systems via a first unidirectional data channel. In some embodiments, the first set of routing systems is configured to receive information from the second set of routing systems via a second unidirectional data channel. The secure system is not visible from the network interface.
Controlled energy adsorption by self-limiting heating for curing processes
Methods for manufacturing RFID devices are provided with self-limiting heating features. Inducing current flow through the antenna of an RFID device (e.g., by exposing the antenna to a changing magnetic field) will increase heat of the RFID device, thereby curing/sintering elements of the RFID device (which may include curing an adhesive used to couple the antenna to an RFID chip) without applying external heat, which typically heats regions of the RFID device that were not intended to be heated (e.g., the substrate to which the antenna is secured). Inducing current flow through the antenna of an RFID device will reduce the resistance of the antenna, which has a heat-limiting effect that prevents overheating of the RFID device. Inducing current flow may also change the resonant frequency of the antenna, which may provide another heat-limiting effect.
Alert management based on alert rankings
Various embodiments of systems, computer program products, and methods to provide alert management based on alert rankings are described herein. In an aspect, a plurality of alerts corresponding to a plurality of objects are received. A check is made to determine whether at least two alerts in the plurality of alerts include an identical priority. When the at least two alerts include the identical priority, the alert rankings for the at least two alerts are determined based on a runtime attribute. Further, when two or more alerts in the at least two alerts include the identical alert ranking upon determining the alert rankings based on the runtime attribute, the alert rankings of the two or more alerts are determined based on another runtime attribute. The plurality of alerts including the alert rankings are rendered to provide an order in which the plurality of alerts to be addressed.
Controlling a download source of an electronic file
A method and apparatus for controlling a download source for an electronic file. The method includes at a server, receiving from a user device an identity of a first source from which the user device wishes to obtain the electronic file. The received identity of the first source is compared with an identity of a known reputable source associated with the electronic file. If the first source and the known reputable source do not match, a message is sent to the user device that includes the identity of the reputable source.
Method and system for triggering an emergency measure
A method for triggering a first emergency measure associated with an aircraft emergency comprising the steps of determining a risk level for an aircraft emergency and triggering the first emergency measure if the risk level exceeds a first threshold for the first emergency measure is described and claimed. The risk level is determined by evaluating a plurality of flight parameters and/or aircraft parameters using a predefined logic. The first threshold is adjusted according to a position of the aircraft over ground. Furthermore, a system for use onboard an aircraft for triggering a first emergency measure and an aircraft comprising such a system are disclosed.
Safety device for motorcycle riders and method for operating a safety device for motorcycle riders
A safety device is provided for motorcycle riders, including a safety helmet and a camera device which is situated on the safety helmet, the safety helmet having a facial area in which the face of a user of the safety helmet is situated when used as intended. It is provided that the camera device is situated on the safety helmet in such a way that it at least partially detects the facial area, the camera device being connected to at least one warning device which outputs a warning as a function of data collected by the camera device.
Preventing malicious attacks launched from or involving usb devices
Approaches for protecting a computing device against malicious code using an attack vector involving a USB device. A computing device prevents a USB device from communicating operational input to the computing device using a USB port residing on or coupled to the computing device unless consent data is stored on the computing device. Consent data is data that affirms consent provided by a user of the computing device to allow the USB device to communicate with the computing device using the USB port. Note that the lack of consent data stored on the computing device does not prohibit the USB device from identifying itself to the computing device. In this way, if the USB device comprises malicious code or has been designed in a malicious manner, the USB device will be unable to submit operational input to the computing device without the consent of the user.
Method, device and system for managing a provision of energy
A remote server is connected to at least one energy box, each energy box being connected to at least one energy consuming device, and each energy box being connected to a metering device. The remote server sends to the energy box a transaction demand. The energy box sends to at least one energy consuming device an energy consumption reduction request. The metering device measures energy consumption of the energy consuming device. The metering device sends to the energy box the measured energy consumption. The energy box verifies whether the demanded transaction has been carried out based upon at least one test, the test depending on at least one measured energy consumption. If the demanded transaction has been carried out, the energy box sends to a remote server a transaction response.
Remote patient management system
A remote patient management system comprising a display and a processor. Execution of instructions cause the processor to: determine at least one first boundary value between a safe zone and a warning zone for each of at least one patient vital sign; determine at least one second boundary value between the warning zone and an alert zone for each of the at least one patient vital sign; repeatedly receive the at least one patient vital sign; determine a status value indicating the safe zone, warning zone, or alert zone; calculate a transition risk value; and display a patient status indicator which indicates the status level and the transition risk.
System, apparatus, and method for measuring number of user steps
A system for counting shoe and uploading data to a centralized server. The system includes a shoe that counts the number of steps a user takes during a predefined period of time. When the number of steps are greater than a predefined number, e.g., a target, the shoe displays a message congratulating the user. For example, when the target is reach, the display will show a winner message on the shoe. The shoe may be placed on a charging (or docking) station, allowing the shoe to be charged. The charging station may also download the data from the shoe, and transmit the data to a central server.
