Various embodiments include a fire detection system (FDS) device and methods for operating an FDS device to detect a potential fire and communicate information regarding fire detection events to a central fire detection system via a wireless communication network. Various embodiments include receiving information from one or more sensors configured to detect an indication of a possible fire, determining whether information received from the one or more sensors satisfy one or more threshold criteria indicative of a fire event, generating a fire warning message comprising a fire alarm object in response to determining that the information received from the one or more sensors satisfy one or more threshold criteria indicative of a fire event, and sending the generated fire warning message to a remote server via a communication network.

An alert system includes an in-vehicle object detector and an alert controller. The in-vehicle object detector detects objects in a vehicle compartment, including an occupant. The alert controller is configured to control execution of alert output operations if the occupant is left in the compartment after the vehicle's driver has left the vehicle. The alert output operations include at least an output operation of an alert to a mobile terminal of the driver. The alert controller is configured to cause the in-vehicle object detector to begin a detection processing for detecting the occupant being left in the compartment if the driver has left the vehicle, determine whether the mobile terminal of the driver is left in the compartment, and switch between the alert output operations in accordance with whether the mobile terminal of the driver is left in the compartment.

An integrated system for monitoring, tracking and recording activities of daily livings (ADLs) and safety and wellness conditions of subjects within the same or different locations of a confined area, comprising: alert signal generators, each alert signal generators receives signals from corresponding sensors and/or condition selectable switches disposed in where proximal to each of the subjects residing in the confined area for sensing motions, locations, and change in environmental and/or personal conditions of the corresponding subject or alarm signals actively or passively triggered by the subject, and being activated by said signals from the sensors; corresponding pairing devices physically connected to the alert signal generators for pairing with the corresponding alert signal generators to relay corresponding alert signals to a receiving device, and to receive one or more of responses, information, commands, and/or instructions from the receiving device.

One of the methods includes determining a likely identity of a visitor who arrived at a property that is associated with two or more people, selecting, from the two or more people, a target person using the likely identity of the visitor, and sending, to a device of the target person, a notification that indicates that the visitor arrived at the property.

A notification control device for controlling notification based on subject information is disclosed. The subject information including temperature image data, which indicates temperature of a subject captured within a predetermined capturing range, is received. A predetermined destination of notification information, which represents a state of the subject based on the subject information, is notified. A process of notifying the notification information to the predetermined destination is stopped depending on whether or not the subject information includes predetermined identification information.

A container for the storage of valuables and a service to retrieve the container is disclosed. The container is designed to contain valuables and important documents, and protect these contents during an emergency evacuation situation. The container is waterproof and can float in water. The container can also be made of a flame-resistant material. The container can emit a homing signal to facilitate the retrieval of the container in the event of an emergency situation. A container retrieval service can initiate a retrieval of the container in response to a determination that a disaster is likely to occur in the region where the container is located.

A fugitive gas detection system is provided. The system includes a cloud service, a plurality of reach-based components, a plurality of wireless gas sensors. The reach-based components comprise backhauls and gateways. The wireless gas sensors are acted as nodes to acquire sensor data in a local mesh network and the nodes are connected to the cloud service through the reach-based components, one node can transmit the sensor data to other sensor nodes of the local mesh network. A graphically based tool and method for generating programming for a fire monitoring system. The locations of existing devices, such as detectors, in a building being monitored, can be visually presented in the context of the building. New devices can be installed, or the location of existing devices changed since all devices report their locations in the building to the tool. Device location information can be combined with building information to create a multi-dimensional representation of parts of the building being monitored.
