METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SITUATIONAL AWARENESS FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Disclosed are systems and methods for sending emergency alerts. In some embodiments, sensors and wearable devices may trigger and send the emergency alerts and/or warning signals via available communication devices. Multi-media emergency alerts are also disclosed that include situational awareness information for effective and efficient emergency response.
System and method for adapting workflows based on time to respond
Techniques for adapting workflows based on time to respond are provided. An electronic indication that a trigger has been detected by a sensor is received. The workflow server is configured to execute an action in a workflow in response to the trigger. An alert is sent to a device associated with a user to request a response from the user. Reception of the response is the action in the workflow. The response from the user is received. It is detected that a current response time for the trigger exceeds a threshold response time. A pattern that indicates response times for triggers of the trigger type recurrently exceed the threshold response time is detected. A proposed modification to the workflow or to a standard operating procedure (SOP) of an entity is generated. An electronic message is sent to a system administrator that recommends implementing the proposed modification.
EXPLOSION PROOF FIBER OPTIC BASED DETECTION
A system for measuring a status of a detection device having a component transformable between a plurality of configurations includes a fiber optic cable for transmitting light. The at least one fiber optic cable defines a node arranged in communication with the component. A control system is operably coupled to the fiber optic cable such that scattered light reflected from the component and returned to the node is transmitted to the control system. The control system analyzes the scattered light to determine the configuration of the component.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING AUGMENTED REALITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE SOLUTIONS
An emergency response system (ERS) configured to acquire target terminal location data, emergency responder terminal location data, and equipment location data, engage a camera component of the emergency responder terminal to capture images of at least a portion of the surrounding real-world scene, providing such images for display on the touchscreen display of the emergency responder terminal, together with a selectable display object associated with a registered user that is further associated with the target terminal. Upon selection of the display object, details about the associated registered user may be displayed on the display of the emergency responder terminal.
HEADWALL BEACON SYSTEM
A stationary communication unit is adapted to be mounted to a headwall of a healthcare facility and forward messages between a patient support apparatus and a nurse call system. The unit includes first and second transceivers. The first transceiver may use two different communication protocols and forward audio signals from a nurse call system to the patient support apparatus (and vice versa) using a first one of the communication protocols, and emit a beacon signal using the second communication protocol. The beacon signal is adapted to be detected by electronic devices positioned in the room. The second transceiver sends a first identifier to the patient support apparatus and the first transceiver sends a second identifier to any electronic devices positioned in the room. The communication unit may also forward sensor readings to the patient support apparatus and/or to a hospital network, either directly or via a mesh network.
Enhanced situational awareness for emergency response
An emergency system can access a variety of situational data items, such as video streams, facility information, and present and past incident data. The emergency system identifies data items that may be relevant to a particular incident and provides the relevant data items in one or more user interfaces. For example, the emergency system identifies relevant data items based on the reported location of the incident and the type of incident. As additional incident information is received or entered by telecommunicators, the emergency system can further filter and surface data items likely to be useful in responding to the incident. Certain data items may only be permitted to be viewed by certain types of users, or under certain conditions. The emergency system may ensure that data items are provided to authorized users and in permitted use cases.
Facility monitoring apparatus and method
An autonomous facility monitoring apparatus and method in a facility can remain on at all times and functions to determine whether an unauthorized person has entered or is attempting to enter the facility and/or whether an environmental danger exists or is predicted. Continuously monitoring physical characteristics of a person and/or location of a person in the facility provides information for automatically detecting and signaling a detrimental health condition, for automatically controlling operation of apparatus of the facility, for operating gaming features, and so on.
Explosion proof fiber optic based detection

The at least one fiber optic cable defines a node arranged in communication with the component. A control system is operably coupled to the fiber optic cable such that scattered light reflected from the component and returned to the node is transmitted to the control system. The control system analyzes the scattered light to determine the configuration of the component.
Apparatus and method of controlling a security system
Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium of controlling a security system by a computer device, comprising receiving device metadata associated with a device in communication with a wireless communication access point. The implementations further include determining that the device metadata comprises matched device metadata based on a match with one of a plurality of previously-identified device metadata in a historical database that stores the plurality of previously-identified device metadata in association with one or more of a plurality of security breach events and a corresponding one of a plurality of security breach probability values. Additionally, the implementations further include determining that the matched device metadata corresponds with a security breach probability value that exceeds a security breach probability threshold. Additionally, the implementations further include generating an alert and sending the alert to a security system device, wherein the alert is configured to initiate a security function.
