Segmentation of PWS-message and associated area-information
A network node obtains (302) a message to be transmitted as a public warning system notification to multiple UEs, via one or more SIBs, and obtains (304) area information corresponding to the message. The area information indicates an area for which the message is relevant. The network node determines (306) how many SIBs are needed for transmitting the area information and segments (308) the message into a plurality of segments, based on how many SIBs are needed for transmitting the area information. The network node transmits (310) the message and the area information via SIBs, such that a segment of the message is included in each SIB and such that each portion of the area information included in a SIB is accompanied by a segment of the message. A UE receives the SIBs and assembles the message and area information, displaying the message if it is relevant.
Methods and systems for detecting and distributing encoded alert data
A method for detecting and distributing alert data based upon both receiving alert data encoded in a terrestrial television broadcast transmission and receiving an identification of a location of a device includes receiving, by a first device in a plurality of devices in a mesh network, a terrestrial broadcast signal including at least one datacast packet. A second device in the plurality of devices receives a satellite transmission identifying a location of the second device. The method includes confirming, by a notification engine executed by a third device in the plurality of devices in the mesh network, receipt of both the satellite transmission and alert data encoded in the terrestrial broadcast signal. The method includes activating, by the notification engine, at least one alert module in the mesh network, upon confirmation of the receipt of both the satellite transmission and the alert data encoded in the terrestrial broadcast signal.
Emergency alert system
The present invention relates to an emergency alert system that triggers a distress event that is automatically managed by a community security system. The emergency alert system is activated through users' mobile devices and initiates communication with the community security system. Management by the community security system includes receiving the GPS location of the mobile device, recording a continuous stream of audio and video from the panic user's mobile application, notifying potential responders or groups of responders in the vicinity of the panic alert and, among other things, activating localized visual and audible deterrents present in surround private security systems, intelligently directing community CCTV cameras to record the distress event and issuing notifications to the closest community members for immediate responses, as well as other responder or group notification members.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing apparatus includes a controller configured to acquire, when a suspension of operation occurs in an autonomous vehicle, positional information, vehicle information, a vehicle internal image, and a vehicle external image of the autonomous vehicle, and determine, in a case in which a suspension of operation occurs in a plurality of autonomous vehicles, an order of priority for a rescue team to go to the plurality of vehicles, based on the positional information, the vehicle information, the vehicle internal image, and the vehicle external image.
Cloud-based fire protection system and method
A system performs cloud-based fire protection. The system receives, by a cloud platform, data from one or more initiating devices. The system stores the data in a persistent data storage of the cloud platform over a period of time. The system applies machine learning to the data to build or adjust a predictive detection model. The system processes, by computing resources of the cloud platform, the data using the predictive detection model to determine an existence of a safety event. The system then transmits, to at least one notification device, an event notification in response to the existence of the safety event.
Method for operating a parking environment in alarm states and autonomous motor vehicle with a control system for controlling the method
Method for operating a parking environment with at least one motor vehicle which has a vehicle system which is designed for completely automatic vehicle guidance and is operated autonomously for parking purposes in the parking environment, wherein the parking environment is assigned a motor-vehicle-external control device which is designed to set up a wireless communication link to motor vehicles which are operated autonomously in the parking environment and to coordinate the autonomous operation of the motor vehicles in the parking environment, wherein, when an alarm signal which indicates an alarm state in the parking environment is present, in particular acoustically and/or optically output via display means of the parking environment, alarm information which describes the type of alarm is transmitted, via the or a further wireless communication link, to all the autonomously operated motor vehicles which are located in the parking environment, wherein the vehicle systems of the motor vehicles receiving the alarm information evaluate said information by means of at least one measure criterion, wherein, when the measure criterion is satisfied, at least one alarm-related measure which eliminates or reduces a hazard owing to the alarm is carried out automatically.

Methods and devices for physical access control systems
An access control system includes a plurality of physical access control readers that form a reader network which utilizes a first communication protocol. The system includes a plurality of mobile communication devices each having a first communication interface and a second communication interface. The first communication interface enables the mobile communication devices to access a mobile communication network which utilizes a second communication protocol, and the second communication interface enables the mobile communication devices to communicate with the access control readers. The plurality of physical access control readers exchange status information for the plurality of physical access control readers and for the plurality of mobile communication devices over the reader network.
Location aware alerting and notification escalation system and method
A system and method for electronic notification of a person(s) in proximity to a given location at the time assistance is needed. A networked system of wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons are provided for communicating with a person's smartphone, computer system, or other electronic device. Wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons selectively broadcast a configurable data set within a given area of the beacon. The strength of the signal can vary depending on the alert type, time to respond requirements and specific characteristics of the location that would affect the time to respond. Software running on the person's smartphone, computer system, tablet or other electronic device preferably receives the signal(s) broadcast by the wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons and decoding the data set broadcast. Depending on the configuration of the system, the decoded data set can cause the software to provide an alert to the person, which can include, but is not limited to, the location and type of alert. The alert may take the form of a visual message on the display of the person's smartphone, computer system, or other electronic device, an audible alert, vibration, and/or other available alerting mechanism on the person's smartphone, computer system or other electronic device.
