Avoiding eMBMS concurrency with paging in NB-IoT and eMTC
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for avoiding conflicts between evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Services (eMBMS) operations and paging and/or mobile originated (MO) operations in communication systems. A method for wireless communications by a user Equipment (UE) is provided. The method generally includes identifying at least one evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS) session available for receiving one or more eMBMS services from a base station. The method also includes taking one or more actions to reduce a conflict between receiving the one or more eMBMS services from the base station and receiving a paging message from the base station during the eMBMS session. Numerous other aspects are provided.
SERVER, SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD
Provided is a system which allow a server to acquire information for grasping a state of an object, even when a communication bandwidth is limited. In a detection system, each of a plurality of sensor units transmits, when an event has been detected, event information indicating that the event has occurred, to the server, and the server identifies, when the event information has been reported from at least one of the plurality of sensor units, at least one sensor unit different from the sensor unit from which the event information has been reported, from among the plurality of sensor units, and acquires data related to the event from the identified sensor unit.
SENSOR SYSTEM
The present invention provides a sensor system with which a change in the state of a workpiece which has occurred in a conveyance process can be detennined. The sensor system comprises: a plurality of sensors positioned along a line and measuring data indicating that a workpiece being conveyed upon the line has passed thereby; a plurality of slave units respectively connected to the plurality of sensors and acquiring the data measured by the plurality of sensors; and a master unit connected to the plurality of slave units. The master unit comprises: a storage part for storing the data in association with information which relates to the timing at which the data was measured; and a determination part for comparing the data transmitted from two or more of the plurality of slave units using the information which relates to the timing, and determining a change in the state of the workpiece.
SENSOR SYSTEM, SENSOR DEVICE, AND SENSING METHOD
An object is to provide a sensor system including a sensor that operates on a self-sustaining power source. A sensor system includes one or more sensors and a computer device capable of making a communication connection with the sensor, the sensor including: a first conductive part and a second conductive part; and a functional part, the first conductive part and the functional part being connected to each other, the second conductive part and the functional part being connected to each other, the first conductive part and the second conductive part being not in contact with each other, and the functional part operating by an input voltage generated when at least a part of the first conductive part and the second conductive part comes into contact with water, and transmitting a signal to the computer device.

SENSING SYSTEM AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
A sensing system includes: a first odor sensor including one or more detection elements respectively detecting an amount of an odor-causing substance or substances existing in air; a filter to remove the odor-causing substance existing in air; a second odor sensor including one or more detection elements respectively detecting an amount of the odor-causing substance or substances existing in air having passed through the filter; and one or more processor generating and outputting one or more detection signals by calculating a difference between one or more first output signals generated by the one or more detection elements of the first odor sensor and one or more second output signals generated by the one or more detection elements of the second odor sensor, the one or more processors generating and outputting odor information based on one or more waveforms of the generated one or more detection signals.
Fault-tolerant architecture for packet capture
Embodiments are directed to a method of implementing a packet capture ring. The packet capture ring includes a plurality of appliances, and the plurality of appliances includes a first appliance and a second appliance. The first appliance and the second appliance are both attached to a network tap, and the first appliance works as a master appliance. The master appliance ingests packets from the network tap, encapsulates the packets and forwards encapsulated packets in the packet capture ring. The method includes: detecting, by the second appliance, a failure of the first appliance; working, by the second appliance, as the master appliance; and removing, by the second appliance, the first appliance from a forwarding designation list.
Base station, radio relay station, and communication method for cancelling a connection to a base station during an overload condition
The present disclosure aims to provide a base station, a radio relay station, a communication method, and a program capable of preventing communication from being unavailable when the base station is brought into a high load condition. A base station (10) configured to communicate with a communication terminal (30) through a radio relay station (20), the base station (10) including: a control unit (11) configured to detect whether the own apparatus is in an overload condition exceeding a predetermined load; and a communication unit (12) configured to transmit, in order to cause the radio relay station (20) to connect to another base station that is not in an overload condition, information about the other base station to the radio relay station (20) when the control unit (11) detects that the own apparatus is in an overload condition.

QUALITY CHECK APPARATUS, QUALITY CHECK METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A quality check apparatus, a quality check method, and a quality check program can check the quality of input data output to a processing module. A device outputs the input data and first metadata indicating an attribute regarding the quality of the input data to the processing module. The quality check apparatus includes a first obtaining unit and a check unit. The first obtaining unit obtains the first metadata. The check unit checks the quality of the input data based on the first metadata.
