A system for measuring a deformation of a structure configured to be installed on an aircraft includes deformation sensor means configured to be associated with the structure and to assume an electrical resistance value indicative of the deformation of the structure and having two short-circuited electrical connection terminals to recreate a closed circuit, magnetic field excitation means having a laser generator and configured to generate a magnetic field concatenated with the closed circuit to generate an induced current, electromagnetic radiation, transmission means having an antenna and configured to emit an electromagnetic radiation, value of the electromagnetic radiation being a function of the electrical resistance of the deformation sensor means, electromagnetic radiation receiving means having an antenna and configured to receive the electromagnetic radiation transmitted by the electromagnetic radiation transmission means, and control means for determining the deformation of the structure as a function of the value of electromagnetic radiation received.

The digital audio storage device is configured to continually record an audio input for a specific amount of time. The talk button is coupled to the digital audio storage device and is configured to initiate a transmission of the audio input to a set-top box device. The optical distance measurer is coupled to the talk button and is configured to automatically measure a distance to a user in response to the talk button being pressed.

A compact wireless remote control for the wireless remote control of a machine is described, having an upper-face operating surface having a display device and at least one free space which is below the upper-face operating surface so as to be at least partly covered by same, is open towards the outside at least laterally on one side, and is delimited by wall portions of the wireless remote control. At least one operating element which can be actuated by an operator at least from the open lateral side of the free space is provided on at least one of said wall portions on the free space side. The free space is preferably formed continuously from one lateral side to the other lateral side and is open at both lateral sides. At least one operating element in each case can be manually accessed from each open lateral side for actuation.

The base member includes a support base and at least two upright mounting members. The at least two upright mounting members extend upward from the support base. The hydraulic pump and the electrical generator are preferably attached to a top surface of the support base. A remote wireless cab is attached to the at least two upright mounting members. The hydraulic pump is connected to the hydraulic pressure and return lines. The electrical generator is connected to the electrical bulkhead through the power cable. The remote wireless cab may be operated with the docking station.

A docking station may be used to provide a physical foundation and an operational base for a remote wireless cab. The docking station preferably includes a base member, a hydraulic pump and an electrical generator. The hydraulic pump is not needed for a remote wireless electric cab. The base member includes a support base and at least two upright mounting members. The at least two upright mounting members extend upward from the support base. The hydraulic pump and the electrical generator are preferably attached to a top surface of the support base. A remote wireless cab is attached to the at least two upright mounting members. The hydraulic pump is connected to the hydraulic pressure and return lines. The electrical generator is connected to the electrical bulkhead through the power cable. The remote wireless cab may be operated with the docking station.

A system (300) and a related method (100) for controlling an optical output of at least one electronic label in a retail environment is provided. The system comprises a camera (310) comprising a transmitter for transmitting a control signal (380, 381) and an electronic label (320) comprising a receiver (325) for receiving the control signal and wherein the electronic label is adapted to change its optical output in response to the control signal, the electronic label is arranged within the field of view of the camera. The camera is adapted to receive an identifier of the electronic label and transmit a control signal comprising the identifier and wherein the electronic label is adapted to receive the control signal comprising the identifier and change its optical output based on that the identifier comprised in the control signal matches an identifier of the electronic label.
