RADIO RECEIVERS FOR POSITION DETERMINATION SYSTEMS
A radio receiver for receiving radio signals from at least one position determination system, having a receiving apparatus, and an antenna arrangement. The antenna arrangement has at least one radio signal antenna for receiving radio signals and a first feed element and a second feed element. The first feed element and the second feed element have different polarization-dependent sensitivities. The antenna arrangement has a first radio signal line and a second radio signal line. The first radio signal line is designed to provide a radio signal received by the antenna arrangement as a first radio reception signal. The second radio signal line is designed to provide a further radio signal received by the antenna arrangement as a second radio reception signal. A signal processing apparatus designed to determine a position of the radio receiver on the basis of the first radio reception signal and the second radio reception signal.
Position-based location indication and device control
Systems and methods for identifying locations and controlling devices are provided. For example, a user may indicate a location by aiming at the location from multiple positions in a physical space. The user may also identify a controllable device to control by aiming at the device. Example systems and methods include determining a first position within a three-dimensional space, receiving a first directional input, and determining a first ray based on the first position and first directional input. Example systems and methods also include determining a second position within the three-dimensional space, receiving a second directional input, and determining a second ray based on the second position and second directional input. Example systems and methods may also include identifying a location within a three-dimensional space based on the first ray and the second ray.

Train control system, base-station control device, ground wireless base station, and on-vehicle wireless station
A train control system controls an operation of a train by transmitting and receiving, between an on-vehicle wireless station mounted on the train and a ground wireless base station, information that includes train control information by wireless communication. General transmission information, which is information included in the information that includes the train control information and is transmitted only once from the ground wireless base station to the on-vehicle wireless station. The train control information is transmitted repeatedly a plurality of times from the ground wireless base station to the on-vehicle wireless station. Among the repeatedly transmitted train control information, the on-vehicle wireless station uses, for an operation of the train, a piece of train control information, which the on-vehicle wireless station receives without lack of data lack for a first time.

Luminaire positioning system and method thereof
A positioning system by visible light includes at least one luminaire, at least one positioning transceiver and a server. The luminaire is disposed at a specific position and has a first identification code, and emits the first identification code in a selected signal form. Each positioning transceiver has a second identification code, and further includes a receiving device and a wireless transceiver. The receiving device movably receives the first identification and demodulates the first identification code. The wireless transceiver transmits the first and the second identification codes to a receiving terminal. The server is coupled to the at least one positioning transceiver via the receiving terminal, and obtains the first and the second identification codes so as to position the at least one positioning transceiver in a space defined by the at least one luminaire.

Proximity location system and method thereof for locating a communications device
A proximity location system and method thereof for locating a communications device. A radio-frequency identification (RFID) proximity location tag is arranged in a proximity of the communications device and detected thereby. A proximity location key included in the RFID proximity location tag is acquired by the communications device and forwarded to a location information server. The location information is queried for location information associated with the proximity location key. Based on the location information, data transmitted by the communications device is routed to the appropriate receiver of the data. The location information is also provided to the receiver.
