A modular umbrella system, comprises one or more shading elements and a support assembly, coupled to the one or more shading elements, to provide support for the one or more shading elements. The modular umbrella system further comprises a base assembly, coupled to the support assembly, to provide contact with a surface. The base assembly comprises one or more microphones to capture audio commands, one or more processors, one or more memory modules and one or more communication transceivers. Computer-readable instructions stored in the one or more memory modules are executed by a processor to convert the captured audio commands into audio files and communicate the captured audio commands to an external computing device utilizing the one or more communication transceivers. The computer-readable instructions are part of an artificial intelligence application programming interface that communicates with an external artificial intelligence computing device to process the communicated audio file.

Animal feeder control and data distribution

The invention provides an animal feeder augmentation apparatus, system and method of operation thereof. The apparatus provides for the controlled dispensing of animal feed from an animal feeder including a controller coupled to an actuator, where the controller provides power access from a battery to at least two communication modules, namely a low-power communications module and at least a first higher-power communications module. The low-power communication module includes a low-energy radio for substantially continuous operation when the animal feeder is being used. The first higher-power communications module includes a cellular telecommunications device for operation when the animal feeder needs to send or receive data outside of the range of the low-power communications module. The controller is coupled to the low-power communications module, and to the first higher-power communications module.

OPTICAL HEALTH MONITORING FOR AIRCRAFT OVERHEAT AND FIRE DETECTION

Overheat and fire detection for aircraft systems includes an optical controller and a fiber optic loop extending from the optical controller. The fiber optic loop extends through one or more zones of the aircraft. An optical signal is transmitted through the fiber optic loop from the optical controller and is also received back at the optical controller. The optical controller analyzes the optical signal to determine the temperature, strain, or both experienced within the zones.

METHODS FOR MONITORING SMART GAS HARMFUL COMPONENTS, INTERNET OF THINGS SYSTEM, AND MEDIUMS THEREOF

The present disclosure provides a method, an Internet of Things system and medium for monitoring smart gas harmful components. The method comprises: obtaining composition information of a gas and use information of a user; determining a generation rate of harmful components of the gas based on the composition information and the use information; and generating warning information in response to the generation rate of the harmful components being greater than a generation rate threshold.

SWITCH SYSTEM FOR OPERATING A CONTROLLED DEVICE
20220058942 · 2022-02-24 ·

Systems and methods for operating a controlled device via an activation accessory of a wearable device that includes a movable actuator, a sensor, and a communication element. The sensor is coupled to a controller, which has an output coupled to a control signal interface. The controller is programmed to receive and evaluate input signals from the sensor that are responsive to movements of the movable actuator to determine whether or not they represent a command for the controlled device by assessing the input signals for a signal pattern indicative of a plurality of volitional actions of a wearer of the activation accessory. If/when the processor determines that the input signals represent the command, then it decodes the command and transmits an associated control signal to the controlled device via the control signal interface.
