Information processing device and information processing method for estimation of acceptance ability
There is provided an information processing device including an operation history acquisition unit for acquiring operation history information in which an input operation of a learner terminal by a learner who uses learning content is associated with a time at which the input operation is acquired, and an acceptance ability estimation unit for estimating an acceptance ability of the learner with regard to the learning content based on the operation history information.
Method and system for developing process, project or problem-based learning systems within a semantic collaborative social network
The system provides a framework for developing process, project or problem-based learning systems that make use of social networking. The system provides a general purpose framework to create, manage, and deliver online instruction that supports learning methods consistent with social constructivist and experiential learning theories. The framework utilizes personal social software for collaboration, problem-solving, group work, and other activities consistent with those methods. The general framework, based on finite-state automata and other methods for determining similarity of learning objectives, provides individual creators the means to define, implement, and manage experiential instruction within a social network.

Visualization of user intent in virtual agent interaction
Generally discussed herein are devices, systems, and methods for visualization of user intent in accessing a virtual agent. A method can include receiving sentences from the respective interaction sessions, projecting the sentences to a higher-dimensional space to create respective higher-dimensional vectors, projecting the higher-dimensional vectors to a lower-dimensional space to create respective lower-dimensional vectors, the lower-dimensional space including either two dimensions or three dimensions, plotting the lower-dimensional vectors as respective points on a graph, encoding the respective points consistent with the respective intents determined to be associated with the sentences by an intent classifier to create encoded points, and generating a visual representation of the encoded points.

BEANBAG WITH DISPLAY APPARATUS
A beanbag including at least one transparent pocket formed thereon, the latter for receiving and displaying artwork or indicia, such as alphabetical letters, numbers, words and the like, for use in a variety of educational applications. The beanbag comprises a conventional beanbag formed from two like-sized pieces of fabric sewn to one another and operative to define an interior for holding a bean-like material, such as plastic pellets, actual dried beans, and the like. At least one transparent pocket is formed upon the beanbag that defines a window through which the educational indicia may be selectively positioned and displayed. The beanbag may take a variety of geometric shapes, and the beanbag may be configured to have multiple transparent windows for selectively displaying multiple images. In use, the user need only selectively replace the images sought to be displayed for a given application.

Device, system and method for correcting operational device errors
A device, system and method for correcting operational device errors is provided. A memory stores first operational data associated with first context data and a first device, the first operational data indicative of how a given user action is performed at the first device to implement a given function defined by the first context data. A controller receives data indicative of a user action at a second device; when the data does not correspond to a respective function at the second device, and when current context data of the second device corresponds to the first context data of the first device, an intended function for the user action is identified by comparing the data with the first operational data. When a correspondence occurs, operational information indicative of how to implement the given function at the second device is retrieved and provided at one or more notification devices.
System and method for wireless location
Systems and methods for wireless location are disclosed. In one aspect, a method for wireless location includes collecting signal strength values from one or more nodes (e.g., mobile devices) in an area over a time interval. The nodes receive wireless signals from one or more other transmitting nodes, where the signal strength values are representative of the signal strengths of the wireless signals. The method further includes normalizing the collected signal strength values and evaluating respective locations within the area of the nodes based on the normalized signal strength values. In a further aspect, the evaluated locations of the nodes may be used to execute an automated light show over the area, by instructing the nodes to display certain color or pattern at their locations in the area.
Grant administration system
A method and system are disclosed for facilitating the completion of a questionnaire. A storage medium stores a plurality of questions and associated answers. Similar questions are linked. An interface presents to a user through a computer network a presented question as part of a questionnaire to be completed. The interface also presents to the user answers associated with similar questions linked to the presented question. Upon user selection, an answer to a similar question is stored as an answer to the selected question. The user may modify the answer. The method and system may present additional questions and answers associated with similar questions linked to the additional question. A user may have access to stored questions, add questions, and link similar questions. Answers to questions may be stored before the user completes the questionnaire. The questionnaire may include fields populated with information previously supplied by the user without user selection. The storage medium may be a database.
