Systems and methods for alerting a user device when an objective is mastered according to a piecewise Gaussian distribution updated according to a Bayesian method are disclosed herein. The system can include a user device having a network interface to exchange data with a server via a communication network, and an I/O subsystem to convert electrical signals to user interpretable outputs user interface. The system can include a server that can: receive a response from the user device; identify a user associated with the response; receive user attribute data; identify a next objective; provide a data packet from the aggregation of data packets to the user via the user device; receive a response from the user device; update the user attribute data according to a Bayesian method; and generate and provide an alert to the user device.
Book for illustrating and describing activities
An interactive personalized activity book for illustrating and describing activities is disclosed. The book is a children's book, the users are a child and the a child's parent or caregiver. The activities are directed to attending preschool or childcare, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. The book's objective is to help a child successfully transition and become more comfortable with routines and new and/or unfamiliar experience(s); The book contains two kinds of pages: preprinted author's pages and pages for which the child, parent or caregiver, and teacher provide the content, including indicia in the form of text and images related to the routine and new and/or unfamiliar experience. The book includes information to guide parents or caregivers on helping the child ease the transition to a new routine and/or unfamiliar experience. The child, parent or caregiver, and/or teacher can remove pages for which they provide content to create a separate customized book.

Systems and methods for computerized interactive skill training
The present invention is directed to interactive training, and in particular, to methods and systems for computerized interactive skill training. An example embodiment provides a method and system for providing skill training using a computerized system. The computerized system receives a selection of a first training subject. A training challenge related to the first training subject is accessed from computer readable memory. The training challenge is provided to a user via a terminal, optionally in verbal form. A first score related to the correctness and/or completeness of a verbalized challenge response provided by the user is stored in memory. A second score related to how quickly the trainee provided the verbalized challenge response is stored in memory. A third challenge score related to the confidence and/or style with which the trainee verbalized the challenge response is stored in memory.

System, device, and method of adaptive teaching and learning
Device, system, and method of adaptive teaching and learning. A computerized method includes operations performed in order to dynamically group and re-group students based on their monitored progress of interacting with digital educational learning objects; performing dynamic layout of components and elements of a digital learning object by taking into account pedagogic goals, pedagogic priorities or pedagogic significance or elements; allowing a teacher to define differential stop-lines for different groups of students; allowing a teacher to command that all student devices temporarily present a uniform learning object; allowing a content publisher to receive aggregated feedback based on monitored progress; and allowing a content publisher to package the objects as portable stand-alone playback modules.
Method and system for developing process, project or problem-based learning systems within a semantic collaborative social network
The system provides a framework for developing process, project or problem-based learning systems that make use of social networking. The system provides a general purpose framework to create, manage, and deliver online instruction that supports learning methods consistent with social constructivist and experiential learning theories. The framework utilizes personal social software for collaboration, problem-solving, group work, and other activities consistent with those methods. The general framework, based on finite-state automata and other methods for determining similarity of learning objectives, provides individual creators the means to define, implement, and manage experiential instruction within a social network.

Examination support apparatus, and examination support method
The examination support apparatus includes a question database, an answer status database, a question output unit, an answer acquisition unit, a correct/incorrect determination unit, a calculation unit, and a determination unit. The question output unit extracts and outputs examination questions from the question database. The answer acquisition unit acquires an answer to each of the above-described examination questions transmitted from an examinee terminal, and the correct/incorrect determination unit determines whether the answer is correct or incorrect. The calculation unit calculates for the examinee a correct-answer percentage to the examination questions in the same administering section based on a result of the correct/incorrect determination. The determination unit calculates a change in a correct-answer percentage for the examinee from the correct-answer percentage of the examination questions in the particular administering section stored in the answer status database and the correct-answer percentage calculated, and determines the change.
Personal learning apparatus and method based on wireless communication network
A personal learning apparatus and method using a terminal which supports an electronic book function in a wireless communication network are provided. The personal learning method includes: distributing, by a master device, learning data to the terminal within a wireless communication service area; collecting, by the master device, learning results based on the learning data from the terminal provided with the learning data; and storing, by the master device, the collected learning results.
