Electronic handwriting processor with convolutional neural networks
An improved machine learning system is provided. For example, a content management server may provide real-time analysis of a user's handwriting to assess the user's knowledge of a language, including using a convolution neural network method. The convolution neural network method may be executed to normalize at least some identified strokes in the user's handwritten user input. Normalization may be performed by translating a window comprising a subset of pixels in a digital representation of the handwritten user input amongst a plurality of pixels in the digital representation.
TATTOO PRACTICING AID
Disclosed is a system and method that simulates making a tattoo on the skin using a needle-based tattooing machine. The system includes an electronic device and a stylus. The electronic device includes a processor, a memory, and a display. The display can include a touchscreen and preferably the display can differentiate between different levels of pressure/force applied on its surface. An interface can be presented on the display that includes a canvas window and a menu. The menu can include options for the type of tattooing needles and voltage. A pattern can be drawn with strokes of the stylus on the canvas window, wherein the pattern resembles needle marks on skin made by a tattooing machine.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR WRITING ANALYSIS
At least one computer readable medium encoded with instructions that, when executed on a computer system, perform a method for determining one or more fluency characteristics of a writer from a piece of their prepared text and providing data to enable characterisation of the writer fluency. The method includes the steps of receiving text data carrying information on the piece of writing to be characterised; enumerating a set of sentences in the piece of writing, wherein each sentence is identified by applying a set of stored rules to the text data; determining a sentence type for each sentence within the piece of text by relating data carrying information on each sentence to stored rules and/or type data; aggregating a data set dependent on the sentence types identified and dependent on a defined aggregation operation; Characterisation data carrying information writer fluency measured dependent on the data set is generated.

SYSTEM OF IMPROVING NEUROPLASTICITY AND RECOVERY DURING OCCUPATIONAL, PHYSICAL, AND RELATED THERAPIES
The present invention relates generally to a system for rehabilitating a patient. The system including a computer, a touch screen that is coupled to the computer, and a stylus that is coupled to the computer and configured for use with the touch screen. Stored within the computer is a tutorial that is configured to prompt the patient to redraw an object that is displayed on the touch screen using the stylus in combination with the touch screen. The object is subdivided into a plurality of portions, the tutorial includes a sequence of steps that are to be performed by the patient. In each of the steps of the sequence of steps, the patient is prompted to redraw at least one portion of the object.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED REAL-TIME SELECTION AND DISPLAY OF GUIDANCE ELEMENTS IN COMPUTER IMPLEMENTED SKETCH TRAINING ENVIRONMENTS
In a computer implemented sketch-based education or training system, guidance elements are generated and output to users both on an affirmative request of the user and in an automated manner without a request for guidance from the user. Automated guidance may take the form of a mini-hint that does not provide explicit information about a solution. The automatically provided guidance elements may contain numerical measures of correspondence between a user submitted sketch and a model sketch.
