The first sub-component package and the second sub-component package are enclosed by the exterior surface in an interior region of the package. The package further includes a first non-visual message element associated with the first sub-component package, and a second non-visual message element associated with the second sub-component package. The non-visual message elements may be configured as tactile and/or audio non-visual message elements. In some embodiments, wireless signal emitter devices are provided within the package to actuate one or more speaker devices to thereby play auditory signals.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR LEARNING STYLE PREFERENCE ASSESSMENT
Methods for assessing the learning style preference of one or more individuals and providing targeted educational content in response to the assessed learning style preference. In one aspect, various aspects of an individual's preferred learning style (e.g., preferred learning modality, preferred social interaction, preferred method of expression, etc.) are assessed and targeted content (such as e.g., learning style preference-specific educational content) are provided to an individual based on his/her determined preferred learning style. Moreover, as learning style preference assessment occurs over time, the effectiveness of the targeted content can be tracked and an individual users' learning style preference assessment can be readily modified in order to respond to the effectiveness measure of individual ones of the provided targeted content. Apparatus, computer-readable media and systems for implementing the learning style preference assessment and provision of targeted content are also provided.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE FOR PRIMATES, IN PARTICULAR PERSONS, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SUCH A DEVICE
Communication device for primates, in particular persons, including at least one electrically conductive first surface to be touched by a first primate, at least one electrically conductive second surface to be touched by at least one second primate, and at least primary electronic circuit electrically connecting said first surface and said second, said primary electronic circuit having: at least one detection element for measuring at least one resistance value of a secondary electronic circuit formed by at least the primary electronic circuit, a first primate touching said first surface, at least one second primate touching said second surface, and the first primate and the other least second primate touching each other, and at least one output for producing a specific signal representing the specific resistance value detected by said at least one detection element.
Spatial weather map for the visually impaired
A method, computer system, and computer program product for providing spatial weather map data to the visually impaired are provided. The embodiments may include receiving a weather map image that contains weather information and a subject of interest, wherein the subject of interest comprises a user current location, a business location, or an asset location. The embodiments may also include receiving a request from a user for current time, historical or forecast data depicted in the weather map and a request for a geo-location of the subject of interest. The embodiments may further include generating sounds corresponding with the requested weather map data, wherein the generated sounds appear to the user to originate in a particular direction and at a particular distance from the subject of interest, wherein the apparent location of the sounds correspond with a weather map feature including the location of approaching or surrounding weather.
SMART EYEGLASSES FOR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN AND ADULTS
A system that detects whether a user interacting with a featured activity is wearing glasses is described. The system verifies that the user is wearing the glasses and the system prompts the user and a caregiver and may blur, stop or otherwise interrupt a user experience of a featured activity, such as a video game or film, when the system determined that the user is not wearing the glasses. A glasses module may be positioned at frame of the glasses at a head of the user to detect that the user is wearing the glasses. Optical facial processing may detect a face and glasses on the face. Also disclosed is a hearing aid that may be integrated with such a system. A glasses module that aids in depth perception by reporting distance ahead, and a system that trains eye contact with another person wearing glasses are also disclosed.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING VISUAL PERCEPTION TRAINING USING VISUAL PERCEPTION LEARNING
Disclosed is a device for providing visual perception training including a display module, and a controller for acquiring at least one target area corresponding to at least one of a first cell of a left eye visual field map and a second cell of a right eye visual field map, and providing a visual perception task to the at least one target area. In the providing of the visual perception task, the controller displays, through the display module, a task object for receiving a response of a patient and fixing a central visual field of the patient, displays, through the display module, at least one stimulus object at at least one stimulus position corresponding to the at least one target area, and acquires the response of the patient related to the task object.
TOUCH SCREEN DEVICE FOR ENTERING DATA USING AUDITORY SIGNALS
A device includes a display and one or more processors that cause a speaker associated with the device to serially recite a plurality of auditory cues. Each of the plurality of auditory cues corresponds to one of a set of characters, and each recitation of the plurality of auditory cues occurs at a predetermined time period. The one or more processors also receive a touch input on the display from a user during the recitation of the plurality of auditory cues, determine a character from the set of characters that corresponds to the touch input based on the predetermined time period, and store the character as a value in a sequence of user-specific information.
Display panel for the blind and display device
A display panel for the blind and a display device are provided in the embodiments of the disclosure. The display panel for the blind includes: a back plate; and a plurality of display units provided on the back plate, each comprising: supports provided on the back plate; and an elastic film layer provided on top of the supports and spaced apart from the back plate; the elastic film layer, the supports and the back plate cooperate with one another to define an accommodation cavity thereamong of a respective one of the plurality of display units, and the respective one of the plurality display units is configured to deform in a condition that it is energized so as to drive the accommodation cavity to change its shape and in turn to squeeze the elastic film layer to project outwards; the display device comprises the display panel for the blind as above and a housing configured to receive the display panel.
