A manikin assists a student in learning to perform root canal therapy on a primary tooth of a child without damaging the underlying adult tooth bud. The manikin includes one or more inserts including a model of an upper primary tooth with roots and a lower adult tooth bud. The manikin includes a jaw portion that is receivable into a hinged dental training aid, so as to simulate the mandible or maxilla of the child. The jaw includes bony portions with a plurality of insert-receiving sockets. The bony portions are covered by an elastic simulated gum tissue that engages the primary tooth of an installed insert.

According to some embodiments, a system comprises a generator of a truly random signal is connected to an input and feedback device for the purpose of providing a user with real time feedback on the random signal. The user observes a representation of the signal in the process of an external physical event for the purpose of finding a correlation between the random output and what happens during the physical event. In some examples, the system is preferably designed such the system is shielded from all classically known forces such as gravity, physical pressure, motion, electromagnetic fields, humidity, etc. and/or, such classical forces are factored out of the process as much as possible. The system is thus designed to be selectively response to signals from living creatures, in particular, humans.

VEHICLE SAFETY SYSTEM MOBILE TARGET

A vehicle safety system target includes a first platform disposed on a mobile chassis, a frame assembly, a first securing member, a second platform, and a mounting member. The frame assembly is at least partially disposed about the mobile chassis and includes a first frame member and a second frame member. The first frame member is disposed on the first platform. The second frame member is disposed on the first platform. The first securing member is configured to couple an object to the first platform. The second platform is spaced apart from the first platform. The mounting member is disposed on the second platform.

Neutrino communication system

An advanced communications system comprising an emitter and an improved receiver (detector) utilizing modulated beams of neutrino and antineutrino waves as information carriers between the emitter and the receiver. Generation of modulated neutrino and antineutrino beams in the emitter is achieved by a laser-like medium, while detection and demodulation of the neutrino and antineutrino beams is accomplished by a second laser-like medium which registers the flux (or fluence) of modulated neutrinos and antineutrinos passing there-through by means of resonant stimulated deexcitation of lasable excited states. In addition to the information transmission utilization, the neutrino emitter and receiver (detector) system may also be employed to gather information by the probing of internal earth structures. Such structures cause measurable refractions and retardations of the propagated pulses of monochromatic coherent neutrino waves traveling through the earth between the emitter and receiver (detector), at certain predetermined neutrino frequencies.

Microscope-based learning

Systems and computer-implemented methods for microscope-based learning including providing a first menu on a GUI to allow a user to identify or view a cell category of interest on a digital slide image that is simultaneously displayed with the first menu on the GUI. The systems and methods further include providing a navigation system on the GUI to allow the user to navigate the digital slide image and select proportional x and y coordinates on the digital slide image. A second menu is also provided on the GUI to allow the user to identify a cell type for the selected proportional x and y coordinates. The systems and methods are capable of automatically determining if the cell type identified by the user matches a predetermined cell type within the x and y coordinates from a database. The systems and methods further indicate whether the identified cell type matches the predetermined cell type on the GUI and display a summary of the total matches on the GUI.
