LINERLESS RECEIPTS AND LABELS
A labeling system comprising at least one linerless label configured to receive printing thereon; a substrate for receiving the label and to which the label becomes permanently bound after the label has been attached to the substrate; at least two materials deposited on the substrate-contacting side of the linerless label prior to attaching the linerless label to the substrate, wherein the first material is either a repositionable adhesive, a remoistenable adhesive, or a non-adhesive material, and wherein the first material is deposited in a layer having a predetermined thickness, wherein the second material is either a remoistenable adhesive, a repositionable adhesive, or a pressure sensitive adhesive, and wherein the second material is deposited in a layer having a predetermined thickness, and wherein the predetermined thickness of the layer of the first material is either less than the predetermined thickness of the layer of the second material or greater than the predetermined thickness of the layer of the second material.
Code-shield label
A label including a first strip including a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The first strip includes an opaque material. The first strip further includes a first area proximate the first end. The first area includes a first length along a longitudinal axis common to the first strip. The label also includes a second strip including a third end and a fourth end opposite the third end, wherein the second strip includes a transparent material. The second strip is laminated over the first strip such that the third end is disposed outside the first area. The fourth end extends beyond the second end a distance at least equal to the first length.
COMBINED RECEIPT AND LABEL ROLL HAVING OPTIMAL ADHESIVE PATCH PATTERNS AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF
A combined receipt and label roll comprises a core, and a web having a longitudinally-extending axis and wound on the core along the axis. The web includes (i) a substrate having a front side and a back side opposite the front side, (ii) a thermally-sensitive coating disposed on the front side of the substrate, and (iii) a water-based microsphere adhesive disposed on the back side of the substrate along the web axis. The water-based microsphere adhesive comprises at least four separate adhesive patches. The at least four adhesive patches are both sized relative to each other and positioned relative to each other on the back side of the substrate such that additional tack desired can be obtained by increasing volume of the adhesive patches without having to increase coat weight of the adhesive patches.
Battery label alignment device and method
A battery label attachment apparatus for attaching a label to a battery including a label support on which the label is placed, an alignment check part configured to check whether an alignment state of the label is normal or defective, and a label aligning part configured to align the label when the alignment state determined by the alignment check part is defective is provided. A method for attaching a label to a battery is also provided.
A LABEL FOR A TYRE OF VEHICLE WHEELS, A PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING SAID LABEL AND A PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A TYRE INCLUDING SAID LABEL
A label (1; 50) for a tyre (100) of vehicle wheels comprises: an external surface (2) which is intended to remain visible when said label (1; 50) is coupled to a sidewall (102) of the tyre, an internal surface (3) which is opposite the external surface (2), a plurality of recesses (10) which are formed at the external surface (2) and which are not open at said internal surface (3) and which are capable of generally defining at least one portion of information which is set out on the label. The plurality of recesses (10) are formed on a first layer (4) of the label (1; 50) which is made of an elastomer material which is compatible with the elastomer material of the sidewall (102). The first layer (4) is partially vulcanized and has a degree of vulcanization corresponding to a value between T.sub.30 and T.sub.60.
A SHRINK LABEL AND METHOD OF USE
A shrink label for application to a bottle and a cap is provided to maintain the position of the cap relative to the bottle. The shrink label includes an interior surface defining an opening therethrough, a first adhesive strip extending circumferentially about the interior surface of the shrink label, and a second adhesive strip spaced a distance above the first adhesive strip and extending circumferentially about the interior surface of the shrink label. The first adhesive strip is aligned with a portion of the bottle and the second adhesive strip is aligned with a side portion of the cap such that an intersection point between the bottle and the cap is positioned between the first adhesive strip and the second adhesive strip. A perforation line can be included on the shrink label above the second adhesive strip for removal of the shrink label.
FRIEND/FOE IDENTIFICATION PAD
Disclosed is friend/foe identification belt that can be worn on the body so as to readily identify an ally and an enemy in a troop and the like. The friend/foe identification belt according to the present invention may comprise: an attachable/detachable belt part wound to form a closed curve on a portion of the body; and an identification part of which a marking portion is exposed on the outside so that the belt part can be identified from the outside when worn on the body, and in which a plurality of attachable/detachable members are attached to the marking portion in a predetermined shape so as to identify a friend/foe.
Electronic Devices With Optical Identification Sensor
An electronic device may be attached to an external item. The electronic device may include an optical identification sensor configured to sense a color-encoded tag in the external item when the item is attached to the device. The optical identification sensor may include a board layer, a protective filter layer, wall structures for supporting the protective filter layer on the board layer, a linear array of photodetectors disposed between the board layer and the protective filter layer, a field-of-view restriction filter interposed between the photodetectors and the protective filter layer, and a light source having multiple emitters for illuminating the color-encoded tag. The emitters may be activated sequentially to produce multiple images that are combined to reconstruct an accurate reading of the color-encoded tag, which can then be used to identify the type of external item currently attached to the electronic device.
System and method for guaranteeing authenticity of branded goods
Ownership of physical article are electronically registered in a database upon purchase of the physical articles from merchants. A merchant gives a uniquely numbered card to a customer with each purchased physical article. The numbered cards are not initially associated with a particular physical article. Each physical article has a label with a unique identifier code attached to the article or to the packaging of the article. The registration process involves associating the numbered card with the article's label. Registration is only permitted if the numbered card and the label's identifier code are not associated with a previously sold article. This process thwarts the potential sale of counterfeit articles to purchasers.
