Electronic visual display panels for presenting visual data
An exterior display system can be configured and arranged around a structure. The exterior display system includes a mechanical supporting structure configured and arranged about the exterior surface of the structure. This mechanical supporting structure can include various supporting structures and/or mounting structures which are configured and arranged to form a mechanical lattice framework. An electronic visual display device can be connected to the mechanical lattice framework to form the exterior display system. The electronic visual display device can include multiple electronic visual display panels which are connected to the mechanical lattice framework. Each of these multiple electronic visual display panels can include multiple groups of multiple light-emitting diodes (LEDs), also referred to electronic LED disc assemblies, that are configured and arranged in a series of one or more rows and/or a series of one or more columns.
Apparatus and methodology for customizing vehicle signage
Aspects are disclosed that facilitate customizing vehicle signage. In a particular aspect, a signage is disclosed which includes a mica cover positioned within the perimeter of a frame. The signage further includes a light source configured to direct light towards a backside of the mica cover, and a logo component positioned on the backside of the mica cover. In a particular aspect, the light source is configured to illuminate a logo by transmitting light through the logo component so that the illuminated logo is viewable from the frontside of the mica cover. An attachment mechanism is also included, which is configured to attach the signage to a vehicle.
Intelligent post and method for controlling said post
The present invention corresponds to a smart post, which displays visual signals, either when people approach the smart post, according to a predetermined programming or in response to sensor parameters, the smart post comprises a structural body with an internal cavity, said structural body being made of a translucent material, a support body disposed in the internal cavity of the structural body, wherein the support body extends longitudinally along the structural body. Furthermore, the smart post comprises a light-emitting device located between the structural body and the support body, wherein the light-emitting device is supported on the support body, with a control unit connected to the light-emitting device. The present invention also comprises a method for controlling a smart post, comprising the following steps: a) entering a configuration parameter in a control unit; b) generating a control signal in the control unit based on the configuration of step a); c) sending the control signal from the control unit to the light-emitting device;
wherein the control signal of stage c) controls the light-emitting device to emit visual signals;
wherein the visual signal may be text messages, images or light patterns.
Illuminated signage
An illuminated signage has a housing that carries a plurality of signage panels having a photoluminescent area carrying indicia for the signage. The signage panels are carried in a channel extending across a front face of the housing. An electrical circuit controls a plurality of light emitters that are configured to illuminate when the photoluminescent area has been depleted and is no longer producing enough luminescence to illuminate the indicia. The electrical circuit may also be configured to illuminate the LEDs on demand.
Portable lighting device and lighting method
A portable lighting device includes: a coherent light source; a shaping optical system that shapes coherent light emitted from the coherent light source; and a diffractive optical element that diffracts the coherent light shaped by the shaping optical system to a surface to be irradiated (IP). The diffractive optical element is rotatably supported. The surface to be irradiated is lighted in a pattern depending on a diffraction pattern of the diffractive optical element.
Electronic signage assembly
An electronic signage assembly for creating and wirelessly posting messages to a display unit includes a display unit comprising a display transceiver and a control unit comprising a remote transceiver, so that the control unit is positioned for wireless communication with the display unit. The display unit also comprises a display screen. The control unit comprises an entry module, which allows for entry of a message. The remote transceiver is positioned to communicate the message, via the display transceiver, to the display screen for display of the message to persons proximate to the display unit.
LED light tubes, light boxes including LED light tubes and methods for installation of LED light tubes in light boxes
Light emitting diode (LED) light tubes having rotatable end cap assemblies are described. The LED light tubes include a hollow tube and a circuit board with LED chips thereon. The end cap assemblies are provided on either end of the tube. Each end cap assembly includes a socket cap, a plug having a plug body and at least one connector, and an end cap body, one end of which engages one of the ends of the hollow tube. A cam locking mount that is positioned within the plug body and on the opposite side has projections to be positioned in the bore of the end cap body. A rotation cam is seated in the cam locking mount and provides for controlled rotation of the LED tube relative to the end caps. Methods of installing the LED light tubes in new installations and retrofit installations and for use in sign assemblies are also described.
Configurable display apparatus and methods
Display module mounting apparatus and methods provide mounting features enabling ease of installation and service. The apparatus may have one or more releasable frame couplers and pivoting releasable frame couplers coupled to a display module having a display plane defined in relation to a substrate. One or more adjustable linkages may adjustably define a standoff distance between the display plane and a support frame to which the module may be mounted by the mounting apparatus. Concave and convex adjustments to the display plane may be made. Operation of pivoting action to tilt the display plane enables installation, removal, and serviceability of large displays constructed with a tiled plurality of display modules.

ILLUMINATED SIGNS FOR VEHICLES, MOUNTING SYSTEMS THEREFOR AND RELATED METHODS
A self-contained illuminated sign for mounting on a vehicle is disclosed. The sign includes a front panel, a rear panel situated opposite and substantially parallel to the front panel in spaced relation therefrom to define a space therebetween, and a light source comprising a plurality of LEDs. The light source is positioned between the front and rear panels and is configured to emit light that emanates from the front panel. The front panel is thus backlit to display indicia. A system for supporting a self-contained illuminated sign on a vehicle is also disclosed. The system includes the sign and a separate mounting frame mountable on a vehicle. The mounting frame is configured to removably receive the sign and, when the sign is received in the mounting frame, to surround a perimeter of the sign while permitting visibility of the front display area. Related methods are also disclosed.
