Material removal from inner surface to preserve perception of outer surface aesthetics
A veneer for a wall-mounted keypad may include indicia that are laser cut therethrough and that are representative of functions that may be performed by the keypad. The veneer may include a recess that extends into an inner surface of the veneer, proximate to the indicia. The recess may be shaped such that a perceived aesthetic of an outer surface of the veneer is preserved during formation of the indicia. The recess may for example have an organic shape defined by a curved outer perimeter that does not define any corners.
Method and apparatus of a foldable-reinstallable wireless warning system for transporting oversize loads
Disclosed are a method and/or an apparatus of a foldable-reinstallable wireless warning system for transporting oversize loads. The system includes a transmitter unit, a towing receiver unit, a foldable banner, a battery enclosure, and a set of surface mounted lights. The transmitter unit is configured to transmit an encoded signal. The towing receiver unit is separate from the transmitter unit and is configured to receive and communicate the encoded signal to a radio receiver. The foldable banner has an oversize load warning message printed thereupon. The battery enclosure and the set of surface mounted lights are stitched onto the foldable banner. The radio receiver, a lithium-ion battery and a strobe light controller are housed in the battery enclosure. The set of surface mounted lights includes stop tail turn lights, strobe lights and D.O.T. lights.
Illuminated vehicular sign
An illuminated vehicular sign is provided including a vehicle and luminescent planar sheet. The luminescent planar sheet is constructed to provide illuminated alpha-numeric characters which are mounted to the horizontal planar surfaces of a vehicle. The alpha-numeric characters are mounted substantially horizontally so as to be seen from the air such as by helicopters or planes. The illuminated vehicle sign includes a switching system electrically connected to the luminescent planar panels for selectively controlling the transfer of power from said power source to the luminescent planar panels. The switching system including one or more adjustable variable resistors electrically connected to the luminescent planar panels for allowing one to selectively adjust the wattage provided to them.
Method for Charging an Energy Store in a Motor Vehicle with Readiness Signalling, and Charging System
A method for charging an energy store in a motor vehicle by inductive energy transmission from an energy transmission unit to the motor vehicle is disclosed. The energy transmission unit can be anchored in a stationary manner on an accessible surface and is part of an inductive charging station. A communication channel is constructed between the inductive charging station and the motor vehicle for the purpose of preparing for and/or carrying out charging of the energy store. The inductive charging station provides a light signal which is to be perceived by a driver of the motor vehicle and which is not transmitted via the communication channel for signaling the readiness for charging the energy store. A charging system is also disclosed.
Removable casing for robotic systems
Embodiments herein describe systems and methods for visually identifying a wheeled robot and associating the wheeled robot with a company or brand. Some embodiments provide a cover, casing, or skin that may be removably attached to the wheeled robot. The casing may feature a pattern, logo, or visuals that are associated with the company. The casing may further conform to features of the movable robot such that the casing does not impede the robot from moving and performing functions, such as transporting objects. The casing may further have a flap that removably attaches to the casing to allow access to the wheeled robot.
Passenger Communication Lighting
A passenger communication lighting display on or adjacent a touch bar on a passenger door of a transit vehicle comprises a display that can be controlled to display multiple colors continuous or blinking, and a control means causing the display to be dark when the door is closed, the display to be a first color when the operator has authorized opening, the display to flash a second color when the passenger has requested the door be opened, the display to be blinking the second color when the door is opening, the display to be continuously the second color when the door is resting in the open position, and the display to be blinking a third color while the door is closing.
LED Light Tubes, Light Boxes Including LED Light Tubes And Methods For Installation Of LED Light Tubes In Light Boxes
Light emitting diode (LED) light tubes having rotatable end cap assemblies are described. The LED light tubes include a hollow tube and a circuit board with LED chips thereon. The end cap assemblies are provided on either end of the tube. Each end cap assembly includes a socket cap, a plug having a plug body and at least one connector, and an end cap body, one end of which engages one of the ends of the hollow tube. A cam locking mount that is positioned within the plug body and on the opposite side has projections to be positioned in the bore of the end cap body. A rotation cam is seated in the cam locking mount and provides for controlled rotation of the LED tube relative to the end caps. Methods of installing the LED light tubes in new installations and retrofit installations and for use in sign assemblies are also described.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A shape display device is disclosed. The shape display device includes a plurality of couplers; and a plurality of rods pivotally connected to the coupler, the rod having a varying length in a lengthwise direction, the rod including: a main frame; a circuit board accommodated in the main frame; a first slider movably mounted on the main frame, the first slider connected to a first coupler among the plurality of couplers; a second slider movably mounted on the main frame, the second slider connected to a second coupler among the plurality of couplers; and a driver installed in the main frame, the driver providing the first and second sliders with a driving force, the driver connected to the circuit board electrically.
Stop sign brake light
A stop sign brake light for vehicles includes a main body having an octagonal shape, a reflective border and the word STOP that is positioned along the center of the main body. A plurality of lighted elements are along an entirety of the reflective border and the word STOP, and a controller having a wiring harness for connecting to a vehicle power source.
LIGHT-EMITTING SIGN APPARATUS
A light-emitting sign comprising a light source for emitting light, in which the light-emitting sign may be thin (e.g., comparable to a conventional non-light-emitting sign) while creating a desired visual effect using the light emitted by the light source. This may be achieved, for example, by the light source being thin itself and/or by having an external device connected to the light-emitting sign and implementing certain functionalities (e.g., powering and/or controlling the light source).
