Mobility apparatus for radiographic appliance
11712212 · 2023-08-01 ·

A mobility apparatus for an imaging appliance such as a panoramic radiograph machine allows single-operator transport for on-site usage with ambulatory challenged patients. A counterbalanced pivot interface integrates the imaging appliance with a motorized transport vehicle for disposing the appliance securely on the vehicle, while the counterbalanced pivot interface allows positioning to an operational upright orientation for on-site usage. The imaging appliance includes modifications to a stock appliance for adapting the pivot interface for mobility and for usage with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) affected patients, such as wheelchair and scooter bound individuals. The modifications include a truncated base and truncated vertical riser, coupled with a counterbalance mass on the vehicle to maintain stability in the deployed and transportable positions. The lowered vertical riser permits the imaging mechanism to descend to accommodate seated patients.

Extended tissue types for increased granularity in cardiovascular disease phenotyping

Systems and methods for improving soft tissue contrast, characterizing tissue, classifying phenotype, stratifying risk, and performing multi-scale modeling aided by multiple energy or contrast excitation and evaluation are provided. The systems and methods can include single and multi-phase acquisitions and broad and local spectrum imaging to assess atherosclerotic plaque tissues in the vessel wall and perivascular space.

The invention refers to an apparatus that allows to improve the image quality of nuclear images, e.g. PET images. The apparatus (110) comprises a providing unit (111) for providing nuclear image data of a region of interest, a providing unit (112) for providing a motion signal indicative of a motion of the region of interest, a determination unit (113) for determining different motion states of the region of interest based on the motion signal, a determination unit (114) for determining for each motion state nuclear image data corresponding to the motion state, a reconstruction unit (115) for reconstructing an absorption map for each motion state based on the corresponding nuclear image data of the respective motion state, and a reconstruction unit (116) for reconstructing one or more nuclear images of the region of interest based on the nuclear image data and the absorption maps reconstructed for each motion state.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATED PROJECTION RADIOGRAPHY
20230027305 · 2023-01-26 ·

Radiographic imaging identifies a subject anatomy for radiographic image content and automatically identifies a subject’s position from one or more sensor signals. The imaging apparatus issues re-positioning guidance signals for re-positioning the patient. Signals are generated to set an imaging exposure technique and component positions according to data associated with the subject anatomy. A radiographic image of the subject is acquired according to the component and technique signals by automatically energizing the x-ray source. The acquired radiographic image is analyzed using trained logic to determine clinical diagnostic suitability of the image and to identify one or more abnormalities in the subject anatomy.
