RADIOMICS-BASED TREATMENT DECISION SUPPORT FOR LUNG CANCER
20230038185 · 2023-02-09 ·

Two major treatment strategies employed in fighting non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). The choice of strategy is based on heterogeneous biomarkers expressed by the lung tumor tissue. A major challenge for molecular testing of these biomarkers is the insufficiency of biopsy specimens from patients with advanced NSCLC. Disclosed herein is a method for predicting a response to immune-checkpoint blockade immunotherapy. The method generally involves imaging the subject with positron emission tomography with 2-deoxy-2-[fluorine-18] fluoro-D-glucose integrated with computed tomography to produce .sup.18F-FDG PET/CT images of the tumor, analyzing the images using PET, CT, and Kulbek Leibler Divergence statistical (KLD) features or, alternatively using deep leaning such as Neural Networks; generating a radiomic signature from the identified features or Network characteristics; and computing a radiomic score based on the radiomic signature that is predictive of responsiveness to ICIs or TKIs.

A flat panel detector and an imaging system are provided. The flat panel detector includes a plurality of pixel units which include photosensitive pixel units and alignment pixel units. Each photosensitive pixel unit includes a photoelectric sensor configured to convert an incident light into an electrical signal so that a photosensitive pixel unit in which the photoelectric sensor is located has a grayscale that changes according to a real-time change of the incident light. Each alignment pixel unit is configured to have a fixed grayscale, and the fixed grayscale does not change according to the real-time change of the incident light. The alignment pixel units includes first alignment pixel units and second alignment pixel units. Each first alignment pixel unit has a first fixed grayscale, each second alignment pixel unit has a second fixed grayscale different from the first fixed grayscale.

X-RAY DEVICE

The present disclosure relates to an X-ray device, and an X-ray device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a radiator configured to radiate an X-ray; a distance measurement sensor configured to measure a value of a distance to an object; and a controller configured to acquire a first separation distance between an X-ray radiation focal point of the radiator and a subject, and control operation of the radiator based on the acquired first separation distance. Through these, the radiation of the X-ray can be prevented without a physical skin guard when the subject approaches within a certain distance from the radiator, thereby preventing the increase in the size caused by the installation of the physical skin guard, and a process of manually setting a strength of the X-ray radiation output according to the thickness of the subject can be omitted, thereby improving easiness of the X-ray imaging and reducing the time for the X-ray imaging.
