To implement an image processing device capable of improving rear visibility of a mobile object, the image processing device includes: an acquisition unit configured to acquire a video from an imaging device that generates images of a rear of a mobile object; a display control unit configured to cause a display unit to display a first range in the video acquired by the acquisition unit; and a detection unit configured to detect a predetermined target based on the video acquired by the acquisition unit. When the detection unit detects the predetermined target, the display control unit causes the display unit to display the video in a second range different from the first range.

Systems and methods described herein may utilize a non-linear scaling relationship to scale brightness of selective portions of the display in a manner that reduces or eliminates perceivable banding effects. By non-linearly controlling changes in brightness of the display, a viewer may perceive a more uniform, linear dimming towards the relatively dimmer region without perceiving banding, leading to improved user experience when viewing the electronic display.

A display device including a display panel having a display area. The display panel includes pixel circuits located in the display area. Each pixel circuit includes a driving transistor and a voltage regulating module that is configured to adjust a node voltage of the driving transistor by a voltage provided by one voltage regulating signal line of voltage regulating signal lines. The pixel circuits have data refresh frequencies including first and second frequencies. The first frequency is greater than the second frequency. When one pixel circuit performs data refreshing at the first frequency, one voltage regulating signal line is configured to provide a first voltage, and when one pixel circuit performs data refreshing at the second frequency, one voltage regulating signal line is configured to provide a second voltage not equal to the first voltage.

A global dimming display device and its control circuit and an operation method are provided. The global dimming display device includes a display panel module, a backlight panel module, and a control circuit. The backlight panel module provides backlight to the display panel module. The control circuit checks an image frame. In response to the image frame not being a dark picture, the control circuit performs global dimming on the backlight panel module to set backlight brightness of backlight to normal backlight brightness. In response to the image frame being a dark picture, the control circuit performs global dimming on the backlight panel module to dim the backlight brightness from the normal backlight brightness to dark picture backlight brightness, and gains the image frame of the display panel module to enhance a pixel gray level of the image frame.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR COMPENSATING FOR GHOSTING ARTIFACTS IN DISPLAY APPARATUS
Disclosed is a method and a system for compensating for ghosting artifacts in a display apparatus. The method includes receiving an input image intended for display on a display panel within the display apparatus. The method further includes analyzing the input image to identify pixel regions susceptible to ghosting based on proximity to an optical axis of a lens unit in the display apparatus. The method further includes calculating a compensatory color value for each pixel in the identified pixel regions using a convolution process. The compensatory color value incorporates effects of light leakage from surrounding pixels on the corresponding pixel. The method further includes applying the compensatory color values to the corresponding pixels in the identified pixel regions for generating an adjusted image. The method further includes displaying the adjusted image on the display panel of the display apparatus.
