Compliance-based cleaning method
A method of compliance-based cleaning includes receiving a piece of equipment to be cleaned in a compliance-based cleaning device, performing a cleaning process on the piece of equipment upon receiving the piece of equipment in the compliance-based cleaning device, monitoring the cleaning process performed on the piece of equipment, and transmitting compliance data from the compliance-based cleaning device to a compliance database in response to performing the cleaning process on the piece of equipment. The compliance data includes identifying information obtained during the cleaning process. Cleaning records stored in the compliance database indicate which one of a plurality of medical practitioners cleaned which one of a plurality of pieces of equipment.

Wearable Appliance
What is disclosed is a wearable appliance that includes a housing adapted to fit in an ear of a user, an optical transmitter disposed in the housing, an optical receiver disposed in the housing, a wireless network communication device disposed in the housing, an accelerometer disposed in the housing, a microphone disposed in the housing, and a speaker disposed in the housing.
Device to detect and treat apneas and hypopnea
A method and apparatus for the treatment of Sleep Apnea events and Hypopnea episodes wherein one embodiment comprises a wearable, belt like apparatus containing a microphone and a plethysmograph. The microphone and plethysmograph generate signals that are representative of physiological aspects of respiration, and the signals are transferred to an imbedded computer. The embedded computer extracts the sound of breathing and the sound of the heart beat by Digital Signal Processing techniques. The embedded computer has elements for determining when respiration parameters falls out of defined boundaries for said respiration parameters. This exemplary method provides real-time detection of the onset of a Sleep Apnea event or Hypopnea episode and supplies stimulation signals upon the determination of a Sleep Apnea event or Hypopnea episode to initiate an inhalation. In one embodiment, the stimulus is applied to the patient by a cutaneous rumble effects actuator and/or audio effects broadcasting.
SYSTEM FOR HEALTH MONITORING ON PROSTHETIC AND FIXATION DEVICES
A monitoring apparatus for a human body includes a node network with at least one motion sensor and at least one acoustic sensor. A processor is coupled to the node network, and receives motion information and acoustic information from the node network. The processor determines from the motion information and the acoustic information a source of acoustic emissions within the human body by analyzing the acoustic information in the time domain to identify an event envelope representing an acoustic event, determining a feature vector related to the event envelope, calculating a distance between the feature vector and each of a set of predetermined event silhouettes, and identifying one of the predetermined event silhouettes for which the distance is a minimum.
Compliance-based cleaning device
A compliance-based cleaning device includes an internal housing and a sanitization chamber coupled to the internal housing and configured to receive a piece of equipment to be cleaned. The sanitization chamber transitions between an open position and a closed position by rotating about an axis within the internal housing. The device further includes a cleaning member located in proximity to the sanitization chamber and configured to perform a cleaning process on the piece of equipment in response to the sanitization chamber entering the closed position.

Systems and Methods for Generating and Applying Matrix Images to Monitor Cardiac Disease
Systems and methods are provided for monitoring progression of a cardiac disease in a patient by providing cardio-vibrational image matrixes and/or ECG image matrices generated using sensor data supplied by a medical device. In some examples, cardio-vibrational image matrices and/or ECG image matrices are output as image files. In some implementations, systems and methods are provided for using such cardio-vibrational image matrices and/or an ECG image matrices, and/or other clinical information, using machine learning classifiers, to assess cardiac risk in a patient. In some implementations, systems and methods are provided for using cardio-vibrational image matrixes and/or ECG image matrices, and/or other clinical information for real-time analysis of cardiac risk.
