Drive control method, assembly and display device

The disclosure relates to a drive control method and assembly, and a display device. A drive control method for a timing controller includes generating a point-to-point configuration instruction including an identity identification of a source driver, wherein the source driver is any of a plurality of source drivers, sending the point-to-point configuration instruction via first signal lines, and receiving a configuration response instruction sent by the source driver via the one of the first signal lines. The configuration response instruction is sent by the source driver after executing the point-to-point configuration instruction in response to detecting that the identity identification in the instruction is its own identity identification.

An image display device that transmits a display image displayed on a display screen to a terminal device includes a data processing device configured to stop transmission of a display image to the terminal device if a change amount of the display screen exceeds a first threshold value.

Liquid crystal display device and electronic device

To provide a semiconductor device, a liquid crystal display device, and an electronic device which have a wide viewing angle and in which the number of manufacturing steps, the number of masks, and manufacturing cost are reduced compared with a conventional one. The liquid crystal display device includes a first electrode formed over an entire surface of one side of a substrate; a first insulating film formed over the first electrode; a thin film transistor formed over the first insulating film; a second insulating film formed over the thin film transistor; a second electrode formed over the second insulating film and having a plurality of openings; and a liquid crystal over the second electrode. The liquid crystal is controlled by an electric field between the first electrode and the second electrode.

THREAD SERIALIZATION, DISTRIBUTED PARALLEL PROGRAMMING, AND RUNTIME EXTENSIONS OF PARALLEL COMPUTING PLATFORM

Systems, apparatuses, and methods may provide for technology to process graphical data, and to modify a runtime environment in a parallel computing platform for a graphic environment.

Visual messaging method and system

A method of visually organizing multiple parallel chat topics on the display screens of mobile devices used in messaging conversations is provided. Visual media and external apps are integrated into such displays, by forming parallel orthogonally spaced chat threads, where preferably each chat thread has a visual element associated with it displayed in a visual display area. The different chat participants can each manipulate or interact with the visual element of any selected chat thread.

Frame complexity based dynamic PPI for displays

If the picture complexity is low then the number of pixels in a frame may be reduced. For example, pixel-to-pixel variation in terms of RGB color values can be used to determine the complexity of the frame. Frames can be characterized, in one embodiment, as non-complex frames with less pixel variation and complex frames with very high pixel variation. The high PPI may be used only for complex frames while non-complex frames can use low PPI. This method reduces memory fetching and pixel processing within the display engine and thereby saves power.

Cascaded standardized hot-pluggable transceiving units providing a multiviewer functionality

A system comprising cascaded standardized hot-pluggable transceiving units for providing a multiviewer functionality. A first layer comprises a plurality of transceiving units implementing a scaling functionality followed by a pre-positioning functionality. A second layer comprises a transceiving unit implementing a positioning functionality. Source video streams are scaled by the first layer, and further combined to generate primary mosaiced video streams. The primary mosaiced video streams are combined by the second layer to generate a secondary mosaiced video stream. Alternatively, the first layer comprises at least one transceiving unit only implementing the scaling functionality. Source video streams are scaled by the first layer to generate scaled video streams. The scaled video streams are combined by the second layer to generate a mosaiced video stream.
