Forming a larger display using multiple smaller displays
A display system includes a first display device having an active display region having individually controllable pixels, a sensor to generate information that is useful for determining a position of the first display device relative to a second display device, and a display controller to determine the position of the first display device relative to the second display device based on the information generated by the sensor. The display controller determines an image to be shown on the first display device based on the position of the first display device relative to the second display device.
Electronic device, method, and computer readable medium for providing screen sharing service through external electronic device
An electronic device including at least one memory; a first display; a communication circuit; and at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to while displaying multimedia content on the first display, receive capability data of an external electronic device for indicating that change of a posture of a second display of the external electronic device is available. The at least one processor is also configured to determine a posture of the second display corresponding to a display direction of the multimedia content. The at least one processor is further configured to transmit posture control information for indicating the determined posture to the external electronic device. Additionally, the at least one processor is configured to transmit streaming data of the multimedia content displayed on the first display to the external electronic device in order to display the multimedia content on the second display.
TILED DISPLAY DEVICE
A tiled display device comprises a first display device and a second display device, each including a display area including pixels and a non-display area adjacent to the display area, a coupling area disposed between the first display device and the second display device, a viewing distance detector detecting a viewing distance between the tiled display device and a user, and a luminance compensator compensating luminance of the pixels adjacent to the coupling area based on a size of the coupling area and the viewing distance.
CONFIGURING DISPLAY SCREEN COORDINATES
Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed for configuring display screen coordinates. An example apparatus includes at least one storage device or storage disk, instructions, and at least one processor to execute the instructions. When executed, the example instructions cause the at least one processor to determine whether a first position of a first display screen is within a threshold of a second position of a second display screen, and in response to determining that the first position is within the threshold of the second position, adjust a first coordinate of the first display screen relative to a second coordinate of the second display screen, the first coordinate and the second coordinate to be adjusted within a graphics properties page related to configuration of content rendering between the first display screen and the second display screen.
Image display apparatus, image display system and image display method
An image display apparatus includes a microprocessor configured to perform determining whether a position of a first device is a predetermined position, and controlling image displays on a first display portion provided at the first device and a second display portion provided at a second device in accordance with a determination result. The microprocessor is configured to perform the controlling including controlling image displays on the first display portion and the second display portion so that a predetermined image is displayed on the first display portion before it is determined that the first device is the predetermined position, and the predetermined image is displayed while gradually moving over time from the first display portion to the second display portion when it is determined that the first device is the predetermined position.
Information handling system remote access to display functionality of daisy chained displays
Daisy chained displays that present information from an information handling system as visual images has remote support of display settings provided through an address assignment scheme to communicate display settings to specific displays of the daisy chain and allows each display to determine a numerical index of the display for presentation at the display. A remote control session for display settings accepts inputs based upon the numerical index presented at each display and sends the display setting inputs through the daisy chain to the address associated with the numerical index for application at the display.
Emissive surfaces and workspaces method and apparatus
A conferencing arrangement for sharing information within a conference space, the arrangement comprising a common presentation surface including a presentation surface area, a common presentation surface driver, a system processor linked to the driver and receiving and presenting the information content via the common presentation surface and a portable user interface device including a device display screen and a device processor, the device processor programmed to provide an interface via the device display screen useable to view content and to enter a command to replicate content presented on the device display on the common presentation surface, the device processor capable of identifying a direction of a swiping action on the interface as a command to replicate the content, wherein, upon identifying that the direction of a swiping action on the interface is in the direction of the common presentation surface, the arrangement creates a sharing space on the presentation surface area and replicates the content from the device display within the sharing space.
DETERMINING PERIPHERAL DEVICE POSITION RELATIVE TO A PRIMARY DISPLAY
A computer apparatus is provided for determining one or more peripheral device positions. A primary display of the computer apparatus may be provided with two or more signal receivers disposed at different locations in relation to the primary display and may be configured to receive signals from a signal transmitter at a peripheral device. The computer apparatus may include a processor and a memory configured to provide computer program instructions to the processor to execute a method of: determining a distance from the signal transmitter to each of the two or more signal receivers based on a strength of the received signal; using positioning determination to determine a direction and/or distance to a position of the signal transmitter from the primary display; and configuring the peripheral device based on the determined direction and/or distance.
CONTEXTUAL INTELLIGENCE FOR VIRTUAL WORKSPACES PRODUCED ACROSS INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEMS (IHSs)
Embodiments of systems and methods for providing contextual intelligence for virtual workspaces produced across Information Handling Systems (IHSs) are described. A first IHS may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the first IHS to: establish a virtual workspace across a first display of the first IHS and a second display of a second IHS, at least in part, through a backend IHS, and provide a contextual menu for rendering by a given one of the first or second displays, where the given display is selected, at least in part, based upon a relative position of the first display with respect to the second display.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR UPDATING ELECTRONIC LABELS BASED ON PRODUCT POSITION
A price monitoring system includes a memory and a processor configured to: determine, by the price monitoring system, an identity of a determined product positioned a particular location based on image information regarding the determined product, compare, by the price monitoring system, the identity of the determined product positioned at the particular location to an identity of an assigned product assigned to that particular location, determine, based on the comparison, that the identity of the determined product positioned at the particular location does not match the identity of the assigned product assigned to that particular location, retrieve product information for the determined product positioned at the particular location from a product database, transmit instructions configured to command an electronic product label at the particular location to display the product information for the determined product positioned at the particular location.
