The backlight assembly includes a backlight source; and a control circuit, coupled to the backlight source and configured to control at least one part of the backlight source to emit a first modulated light that flickers at a preset frequency that is higher than or equal to a scanning frequency of a shutter of a camera.

DISPLAY DIAGNOSTICS FOR ENHANCING PERFORMANCE OF DISPLAY DEVICES

This disclosure is generally directed to a system and method for diagnosing display capabilities, such as resolution, frame rate, and content protection, of display devices and improving the performance of the display devices by optimizing the display settings based on the results of the diagnosing. Display diagnostics receives information from display devices in response to tests performed on the display devices. The display diagnostics analyzes the information and provides recommended display settings related to the display device for optimizing the display of video content on the display device.

METHOD FOR PROMPTING FINGERPRINT OPERATION AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
20180277065 · 2018-09-27 · ·

A method for prompting a fingerprint operation, includes the steps of: determining whether a fingerprint input position needs to be prompted; if the fingerprint input position needs to be prompted, displaying a first prompt graphic in an effective fingerprint detection area, wherein the effective fingerprint detection area is located in at least a part of a display area of a display; enabling a fingerprint collection function, and collecting fingerprint information in the effective fingerprint detection area; and processing the collected fingerprint information, and generating a fingerprint recognition processing result according to the fingerprint information. The method displays a prompt graphic in a corresponding display area of a fingerprint apparatus, so as to prompt a fingerprint recognition position without affecting the integrity of a display, thereby implementing functions of a fingerprint recognition and processing.

PERSONALIZED DISPLAY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DYNAMICALLY DISPLAYING USER INFORMATION
20180275940 · 2018-09-27 ·

The present disclosure relates to field of image processing. Accordingly, disclosed herein is a personalized display system for dynamically displaying user information. An electronic display unit associated with the personalized display system captures visual images of the user and the belongings of the user. The personalized display system receives the captured visual images, extracts user characteristics, and determines the identity of the user. Later, the information related to the identified user are displayed on the electronic display unit. Further, the electronic display unit may continuously monitor an availability status of the user to efficiently manage allocation or deallocation of a workplace and other resources to the users. In an embodiment, the personalized display system also performs customization of environment based on environmental preferences of the user, thereby enhancing overall efficiency and comfort level of the user.

INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

An information processing method includes sending, by a first electronic device, content displayed on the first electronic device to a second electronic device through a communication connection between the first electronic device and the second electronic device; detecting operation instruction information; and determining a display state of the first electronic device based at least on the operation instruction information.

DISPLAY DEVICE, DISPLAY SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
20180275947 · 2018-09-27 · ·

A display device includes a display, a reception unit, a power supply unit, and a controller. The reception unit receives data to be displayed on the display. The power supply unit supplies power to the reception unit. The controller controls whether or not to permit the data to be displayed on the display, based on an instruction for power supply to the reception unit from the power supply unit.

DISPLAY PANEL, METHOD FOR DRIVING THE SAME AND ANTI-PEEPING SYSTEM

The present disclosure provides a display panel, a method for driving the same, and an anti-peeping system. The display panel comprises a substrate; and multiple pixel units arranged on the substrate in an array, each of the pixel units comprising first self-luminous devices, second self-luminous devices, and quantum dot luminous devices, wherein the first self-luminous devices and the second self-luminous devices are stacked in various sub-pixel regions, the quantum dot luminous devices are disposed in at least two sub-pixel regions, and quantum dot luminous devices disposed in different sub-pixel regions have different luminous colors, wherein the first self-luminous devices are configured to excite the quantum dot luminous devices to emit light during a display period of one frame to display a normal picture, and the second self-luminous devices are configured to be in a turn-off state during the display period of one frame and excite quantum dot luminous devices within a part of the sub-pixel regions to emit light during an interference period of one frame to display an interference picture. The display panel according to the embodiments of the present disclosure realizes an anti-peeping function.

Restricting Display Area of Applications
20240320902 · 2024-09-26 ·

Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods for designating a bounded volumetric region in which an application can display content. In some implementations, a device includes a display, one or more processors, and a memory. While displaying first content associated with a first application within a first bounded region, the device detects a request from a second application to display second content in a second bounded region. If the first application has a first characteristic, the device determines whether the second bounded region obstructs a field of view of the first bounded region from the device. If the second bounded region obstructs the field of view of the first bounded region, the device determines whether to deny the request to display the second content in the second bounded region.

Marks for privacy display

A switchable privacy display comprises a spatial light modulator with output polariser, a reflective polariser, a polar control liquid crystal retarder and an additional polariser. The electrodes of the polar control liquid crystal retarder are patterned with a mark. In wide angle and narrow angle operational modes, the electrodes of the liquid crystal retarder are driven such that the mark is not visible. In a mark display state, the electrodes are driven to provide visibility of the mark in reflected light to an off-axis observer.
