FACILITATING EFFICIENT DETECTION OF PATTERNS IN GRAPHICS DISPLAY STREAMS PRIOR TO THEIR DISPLAY AT COMPUTING DEVICES
A mechanism is described for facilitating efficient detection of patterns in graphics display streams prior to their display at computing devices. A method of embodiments, as described herein, includes detecting a display stream from a display unit, wherein the display stream includes one or more frames, and analyzing a frame of the one or more frames, where the analysis and gathering logic is further to gather one or more observations relating to the frame. The method may further include polling for one or more patterns, where the polling and matching logic is further to match the one or more patterns with the one or more observations, and confirming a match between a pattern of the one or more patterns and an observation of the one or more observations, where the pattern includes a malicious pattern. The message may further include transmitting an alert relating to the pattern.
FINGERPRINT IDENTIFICATION PANEL AND FINGERPRINT IDENTIFICATION CIRCUIT THEREOF
The present invention provides a fingerprint identification panel and the fingerprint identification circuit thereof, which comprise a gate driving circuit, a source driving circuit, and a detection circuit. The gate driving circuit is coupled to a plurality of gate lines, outputs a plurality of gate signals to the plurality of gate lines, and controls a state transition of the plurality of gate signals. The source driving circuit is coupled to a plurality of source lines. The detection circuit is coupled to the plurality of source lines or to a portion of the plurality of source lines. The detection circuit detects the levels of the plurality of signals on the coupled source lines when the state of the gate signal is changed and generates a plurality of detection signals.
DEVICES WITH PERIPHERAL TASK BAR DISPLAY ZONE AND UNDER-LCD SCREEN OPTICAL SENSOR MODULE FOR ON-SCREEN FINGERPRINT SENSING
Devices or systems with display designs to include both a main display zone and a peripheral display zone that collectively form a seamless contiguous display area for displaying images, content or information over the two zones as a single display area and further allowing for operating the peripheral display zone independently from the main display zone to display certain images, information, or content only on the peripheral display zone even when the main display zone is turned off. In addition to providing display functions separate from or in combination with the display functions by the main display zone, the peripheral display zone based on the disclosed technology can be used to provide for certain sensing functions by including one or more sensors under the display area for the peripheral display zone.
METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR THE SECURE DISPLAY OF INFORMATION
A method to operate a display screen D in at least two operating modes, B1 for a free viewing mode and B2 for a restricted viewing mode, comprising the following steps: arrangement of a switchable optical element immediately in front of a display screen as seen in a viewer's viewing direction, the said optical element ensuring switching between the at least two operating modes B1 and B2, presentation of an image content on the display screen, wherein the optical element contains a multitude of louvers, and wherein the optical effect of the louvers can be changed between transparent (B1) and luminous (B2) due to the fact that at least every twentieth louver contains triggerable layers that can be switched to be either transparent or brightly self-luminous.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PAIRING AUTHENTICATION BETWEEN A VEHICLE AND A MOBILE DEVICE
A method for pairing authentication between a vehicle and a mobile device is proposed. After a host computer of the vehicle is operated to send out a vehicle identification code for pairing and the mobile device is operated to select the vehicle identification code, the host computer enables both of a host display of the vehicle and the mobile device to display a pairing code at the same time. After a pairing procedure is performed within a predetermined pairing operation period, the host computer completes pairing authentication between the host computer and the mobile device.
IDENTIFYING USERS FROM SCREEN TOUCH EVENTS
Examples are disclosed that relate to attributing touch events on a touch-sensitive computing device to a user who performed the touch event. One example provides a computing system, comprising a touch sensor, a communication subsystem comprising a first communication mechanism integrated with the touch sensor, the first communication mechanism configured to communicate with a portable device over a first communication channel via a body-transmissible signal upon detection of a touch input, and also comprising a second communication mechanism configured to communicate with the portable device via a second communication channel. The computing device further comprises instructions executable to detect a touch input via the touch sensor, communicate information to the portable device via the body-transmissible signal using the first communication mechanism, and connect with the portable device via the second communication mechanism based upon the information communicated to the portable device via the body-transmissible signal.
Information terminal, system, control method and recording medium
An information terminal determines whether displayable resolutions of a display apparatus include a resolution of an aspect ratio other than a standard aspect ratio used for image data transmission in the case where apparatus information obtained from the display apparatus matches predetermined apparatus information, according to a determination result, selects a first resolution of an aspect ratio other than the standard aspect ratio or a second resolution of the standard aspect ratio, changes a resolution of the display apparatus to the selected resolution in the case where the apparatus information matches the predetermined apparatus information, and changes a resolution of the display apparatus to a recommended resolution of the display apparatus in the case where the apparatus information does not match the predetermined apparatus information.
Localized high brightness mode
An electronic device includes a first digital-to-analog converter (DAC) configured to provide brightness control for a first subset of pixels of a display and a second DAC configured to provide brightness control for a second subset of pixels of the display. A display controller selectively operates the second DAC to provide the brightness control for the second subset of pixels while simultaneously operating the first DAC to provide the brightness control for the first subset of pixels of the display.
DISPLAY DEVICE WITH DIRECTIONAL CONTROL OF THE OUTPUT, AND A BACKLIGHT FOR SUCH A DISPLAY DEVICE AND A LIGHT DIRECTION METHOD
A display backlight comprises an edge-lit lightguide having an array of light out-coupling structures to enable light to escape from the lightguide at the location of the light out-coupling structures. A light source arrangement is used for providing light into the lightguide at one or both of the opposite side edges. The light source arrangement is controllable to provide a selected one of at least first and second light outputs into the lightguide, the two light outputs having a different angle to the general plane of the lightguide and resulting in light which escapes from the lightguide with a different range of exit angles. In this way, a directional backlight output is enabled, based on the way light is coupled into a lightguide. This provides a simple structure only requiring control of the light provided to the lightguide. The backlight may for example enable an auto stereoscopic display to be formed without the need for a lenticular array.
Programmable display
A programmable display for connection to a control device includes: a user management unit configured to identify a user accessing the programmable display; a generation unit configured to generate an interface screen containing information from the control device in accordance with privileges assigned the user identified by the user management unit; a display unit configured to output the interface screen; a connection management unit configured to, in response to a request for access from a user on an external device, establish a connection with the external device on the basis of identification of the user by the user management unit, and to send the interface screen to an external device with which a connection is established; and the user management unit prohibits simultaneous access to the programmable display by a plurality of users each having different privileges assigned.
