DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD OF DRIVING THE SAME
A display apparatus including a backlight module, first and second electrically-controlled elements, electrically-controlled first and second polarizers, a half-wave plate, and a display panel is provided. An included angle between first and second alignment directions of first and second alignment layers of the first electrically-controlled element is between 75 degrees and 105 degrees. An included angle between third and fourth alignment directions of third and fourth alignment layers of the second electrically-controlled element is between 165 degrees and 195 degrees. A first absorption axis of the first polarizer disposed between the backlight module and the first electrically-controlled element is perpendicular to a second absorption axis of the second polarizer disposed between the first and second electrically-controlled elements. The half-wave plate is disposed between the second polarizer and the second electrically-controlled element. The display panel is disposed on the second electrically-controlled element. A method of driving the display apparatus is provided.
INPUT SYSTEM
An input system is provided which is capable of mitigating certain inconveniences that may arise due to data processing performed by a host processor. The input system includes a first signal path, a second signal path, and a switch section. The first signal path is used for transmitting a signal from a sensor controller to a display controller through the host processor. The second signal path is used for transmitting a signal from the sensor controller to the display controller without passing the signal through the host processor. The switch section is configured to be able to switch between the first signal path and the second signal path.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING AND DISTRIBUTING INFORMATIONAL CONTENT ACROSS DISPARATE SYSTEMS
A content management system for customizing and controlling data distribution is disclosed. Data items can be customized and dispersed to disparate reception terminals according to various control mechanisms where they can convey relevant information to local or remote stakeholders. Data items can be integrated into existing data distribution structures in real time according to applicable control mechanisms and distribution protocols. Data resources can be efficiently used in distributing data under predefined and configurable conditions. Control mechanisms and distribution protocols can be determined based on an interested user's recognized status within the system. Design of the distribution system allows for informed delivery of essential information in a controlled and automated fashion such that users can interact with the system in receiving or distributing current and relevant information across the distribution network for others to access.
PIXEL STRUCTURE AND DISPLAY METHOD
A pixel structure, including a first color pixel, a second color pixel and a third color pixel. The first color pixel includes a first-color normal-viewing sub-pixel and at least one first-color side-viewing sub-pixel. The second color pixel includes a second-color normal-viewing sub-pixel and at least one second-color side-viewing sub-pixel. The third color pixel includes a third-color normal-viewing sub-pixel and at least one third-color side-viewing sub-pixel. First color light emitted from the first-color normal-viewing sub-pixel, second color light emitted from the second-color side-viewing sub-pixel, and third color light emitted from the third-color side-viewing sub-pixel are mixed to obtain a white emission in a first side view direction.
Electronic apparatus and control method that accurately detect human faces
An electronic apparatus includes a processing unit, a memory, a processor, and an operation control unit. The processing unit executes system processing based on a system. The memory temporarily stores image data of an image captured by an imaging device. The processor processes image data stored in the memory. The operation control unit controls an operating state of the system. The processor includes a face detection unit that processes image data of an image obtained by the imaging device capturing a predetermined imaging range and stored in the memory to perform detection of a face area with a face captured therein and an orientation of the face from the image. The operation control unit controls, according to a detection result by the face detection unit, the operating state of the system to be a first operating state or a second operating state.
ELECTRONIC DISPLAY ILLUMINATION
According to an example, at least one user in proximity to a display is detected with a camera. A primary user and eye gaze are determined. The location of a secondary user relative to the display is calculated, and an active screen area and an inactive screen area based on the eye gaze are determined. A first angle and a first brightness for the active screen area and a second angle and a second brightness for the inactive screen area based on the location of the secondary user are calculated, and focus area boundaries for the active screen area based on the location of the secondary user are calculated. The first angle, the first brightness, and the focus area boundaries are applied to the active screen area, and the second angle and the second brightness are applied to the inactive screen area.
CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITOR COMMUNICATION WITH MULTIPLE DISPLAY DEVICES
A continuous glucose monitor for wirelessly transmitting data relating to glucose value to a plurality of displays is disclosed, as well as systems and methods for limiting the number of display devices that can connect to a continuous glucose transmitter. In addition, security, including hashing techniques and a changing application key, can be used to provide secure communications between the continuous glucose transmitter and the displays. Also provided is a continuous glucose monitor and techniques for authenticating multiple displays, providing secure data transmissions to multiple displays, and coordinating the interaction of commands and data updates between multiple displays.

Display controller, heads-up image display system and method thereof
The present application relates to a display controller and display system and a method of operating thereof. At a filtering stage display image data are generated on the basis of received pixel-mapped image data. The filtering operation accepts a plurality of pixels out of the received image data as input values to generate a pixel of the display image data as output value. It is further determined whether the plurality of pixels being the input values to the filtering operation are marked. If all pixels thereof are marked, the output pixel being the output value is marked. The marked pixels in the display image data are validated on the basis reference data.
