VEHICULAR DISPLAY DEVICE
A vehicular display device includes: a display means; a control means for controlling the display of the display means; a non-volatile memory for storing at least an operation program for the control means or image data to be displayed on the display means; and a third connection terminal that can be connected with either a first connection terminal or a second connection terminal having different terminal arrangements. The vehicular display device, housed in an instrument panel of a vehicle, is provided with an external device that communicates with the control means by connecting the first connection terminal or the second connection terminal to the third connection terminal, wherein the control means determines whether over-writing of the non-volatile memory should be allowed in accordance with the type of the connection terminal connected to the third connection terminal.
Intelligent privacy system, apparatus, and method thereof
A directional display apparatus including a directional display device that is capable of directing a displayed image into a viewing window of variable width is provided with a privacy control function. A control system detects the presence of one or more secondary viewers in addition to a primary viewer, and decides whether the one or more secondary viewers is permitted to view the displayed image. The control system directs a displayed image into a viewing window which is adjusted, for example by decreasing the width, in dependence on that detection. In addition, the control system detects relative movement between the primary viewer and the display device, and the width of the viewing window is increased in response to detection of said relative movement.
Patient monitoring system
A patient monitoring system includes: a display configured to display, only for a first period, information including changes over time in physiological information acquired from at least one patient; a first storage configured to store, only for a second period longer than the first period, data corresponding to the information displayed on the display; a second storage having a storage capacity different from a storage capacity of the first storage; a user interface configured to receive a data preservation instruction from a user; and one or more processors configured to store in the second storage at least a part of the data that has been in the first storage before the user interface receives the data preservation instruction.
MONITORING OF INTERACTIONS USING EYE TRACKING
An electronic interaction device may include an image sensor, a display, a storage device, a memory storing instructions, and a processing unit including one or more processors. The one or more processors may be configured to: receive at least one image of a predetermined space adjacent the electronic interaction device, identify a plurality of persons in the predetermined space adjacent the electronic interaction device, generate a positional mapping of the predetermined space adjacent the electronic interaction device, identify a user and one or more onlookers, extract eye tracking information corresponding to the one or more onlookers, calculate one or more points of focus representing a point at which one of the one or more onlookers is looking, determine whether any of the one or more points of focus is within a predetermined zone of interest of the electronic interaction device, and alert the user.
DETECTION CIRCUIT, METHOD FOR DRIVING THE SAME, AND DISPLAY DEVICE
A detection circuit, a method for driving the same, and a display device are provided. In an embodiment, the detection circuit includes driving circuits, signal reading lines, and a pre-configuration module. In an embodiment, one of the signal reading lines is coupled to at least two of the driving circuits. In an embodiment, the pre-configuration module is coupled to the signal reading lines, and configured to output a preset signal to the signal reading lines to pre-configure potentials on the signal reading lines.
DRIVING METHOD OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL
A driving method of a liquid crystal display panel is provided. The driving method includes: defining a first area and a second area on the liquid crystal display panel; generating at least two first display grayscales according to each first to-be-displayed grayscale corresponding to the first area and generating at least two second display grayscales according to each second to-be-displayed grayscale corresponding to the second area; and using the at least two first display grayscales to respectively drive at least two first pixels in the first area to display and using the at least two second display grayscales to respectively drive at least two second pixels in the second area to display. Therefore, a displayed image observed in an oblique viewing angle would exhibit a disordered state, the liquid crystal display panel can achieve anti-peep effect and the privacy of user can be effectively protected.
Systems and methods for adapting display brightness to match privacy filter usage
Systems and methods are provided that may be implemented to increase display panel brightness consistency when using an electronically-activated privacy filter of an information handling system to switch back and forth between a private viewing mode and a non-private viewing mode. The provided systems and methods may automatically vary the brightness intensity of currently-active display panel backlight/s without user control so as to compensate for changes in the display panel brightness that would otherwise occur due to changes in the number of active backlights caused by switching between private viewing mode and non-private viewing mode.
METHOD FOR SELECTING A DISPLAY CAPTURING MODE
A method for extracting display data from a computing resource of a computer system comprises the dynamic selection of a display capturing mode among a plurality of display capturing modes.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device includes an encoder and a display device. The encoder receives data and generates at least one code including an angular profile of the data. The display device is coupled to the encoder and configured to receive the at least one code from the encoder and to display the at least one code according to the angular profile.
COMMUNICATION TERMINAL, SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A communication terminal, a system, a method, and a control program stored in a non-transitory recording medium for controlling capturing of an image, each of which displays, on a display of the communication terminal, an image based on image data to be shared with a counterpart communication terminal; receives an instruction to prohibit capturing of a screen that includes the image based on the image data; and transmits, from the communication terminal to the counterpart communication terminal, information related to the instruction to prohibit capturing of the screen.
