Display panel and electronic device
The present disclosure relates to a display panel and an electronic device. The display panel includes a driving array; first light-emitting deices electrically connected with the driving array; and second light-emitting devices located between at least two of the first light-emitting devices and electrically connected with the driving array. In a case where the first light-emitting devices are in a working state and the second light-emitting devices are in a first state, the display panel is in a first mode; and in a case where the first light-emitting devices are in a working state and the second light-emitting devices are in a second state, the display panel is in a second mode, wherein a visual angle of the display panel in the first mode is greater than 0 and smaller than a visual angle of the display panel in the second mode.
Controlling privacy on displays
Controlling privacy on a display includes a light-emitting diode (LED) pixel rotatably coupled to a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) and a controller to control the MEMS, the MEMS to rotate the LED pixel in response to a command issued by the controller to modify a viewing angle of the LED pixel such that the privacy on the display for that LED pixel is maintained.
Protocol for high integrity personal electronic device applications
A method in a high integrity device for verifying the integrity, continuity, and availability (ICA) of information displayed on an uncertified display is provided. The method comprises creating, on the high integrity device, application data for display on an uncertified display device; transmitting the application data to the uncertified display device; receiving, at the high integrity device from an optical sensing device, a captured image of the display; determining, at the high integrity device, an expected display image to be displayed on the uncertified display device; comparing, at the high integrity device, the captured image of the display to the expected display image; identifying, at the high integrity device, a loss of ICA if one or more frames in the captured image fails the comparison with the expected display image; and causing the annunciation of a message indicating the loss of ICA when a loss of ICA is identified.

The method comprises creating, on the high integrity device, application data for display on an uncertified display device; transmitting the application data to the uncertified display device for display; receiving, at the high integrity device from the uncertified display device, a captured image of the display captured using a screen capture feature on the uncertified display device; determining, at the high integrity device, an expected display image; comparing, at the high integrity device, the captured image of the display to the expected display image; identifying, at the high integrity device, a loss of ICA if one or more frames in the captured image fails the comparison with the expected display image; and causing the annunciation of a message indicating the loss of ICA when a loss of ICA is identified.
Onboard control device, control device, control method, computer-readable storage medium, and method of responding to utterance
An onboard control device includes: a deriving section that, on the basis of information that is an object of outputting, derives a conveying degree that expresses an extent to which it is desired to convey the information that is the object of outputting to each of plural occupants who exist within a vehicle; a selecting section that, in accordance with the conveying degrees of each of the vehicle occupants that have been derived by the deriving section, selects an outputting device that is to output the information that is the object of outputting, from among plural outputting devices that exist within the vehicle; and a control section that carries out control for causing the information, which is the object of outputting, to be outputted from the outputting device selected by the selecting section.
Multi-user display system
Electronic equipment in a system such as a vehicle or building may include one or more displays. The displays may display image frames for users with light-modulating glasses. The image frames may include interspersed image frames corresponding to unique content for each of the users. Dummy frames may be incorporated into the displayed frames on the display to help obscure displayed content from external observers. The light-modulating glasses may have light modulators such as liquid crystal light modulators. Control circuitry in the glasses may adjust the light modulators to exhibit transparent intervals that overlaps desired image frames and opaque intervals that are aligned with other image frames and the dummy frames. This allows each user to view unique content on a shared display while preventing external observers without glasses from observing the content that is being presented.
DISPLAY DEVICE WITH SWITCHABLE VIEWING ANGLES
A display device with switchable viewing angle includes a display panel, a backlight source, a timing controller, a source driver chip and an LED driver module. The backlight source includes a plurality of LEDs. The timing controller is connected to the source driver chip. The source driver chip is connected to the plurality of data lines. The LED driver module is connected to the plurality of LEDs. The display panel has a narrow viewing angle mode and a wide viewing angle mode. In the narrow viewing angle mode, the luminous brightness of the plurality of LEDs is adjusted to gradually decrease from the middle to both sides of the display panel. In the wide viewing angle mode, the luminous brightness of the plurality of LED is adjusted to gradually increase from the middle to both sides of the display panel.
Displaying Sensitive Content Based On Whether Others Are Around User
A sensitive content display control system determines whether to display sensitive content on a computing device display, such as on a lock screen. The system attempts to authenticate a user of the computing device, and does not display the sensitive content if the user is not authenticated. If the user is authenticated, then the system determines whether anyone in addition to the user is looking at the computing device display. If the user is authenticated and no one else is looking at the computing device display, then the sensitive content is displayed. However, if the user is authenticated and at least one additional person is looking at the computing device display, then the sensitive content is not displayed.
Displaying Sensitive Content Based On Authentication Using An Under-display Sensor
A sensitive content display control system determines whether to display sensitive content on a computing device display, such as on a lock screen. The system attempts to authenticate a user of the computing device using an under-display sensor (e.g., a fingerprint sensor). One or more selectable items (e.g., icons or buttons) that correspond to sensitive content are displayed, and the under-display sensor is situated to sense authentication information of the user in response to user selection of one of the selectable items. If the user is not authenticated then the system does not display sensitive content corresponding to the one or more selectable items. If the user is authenticated, then the system displays the sensitive content corresponding to the selected item.
