Advanced hardware system for self service checkout kiosk
Methods and systems for providing an advanced hardware system for a self-service kiosk are disclosed herein. In specific embodiments of the invention, a payment interface device is provided. The device includes an integrated touch display, a means for receiving payment information, and a casing holding the integrated touch display and the means for receiving payment information. The device also includes an applications microprocessor and a secure microprocessor located within the casing. The applications microprocessor instantiates an operating system and stores instructions for execution by the operating system for operative communication with a peripheral bar code scanner and a peripheral display. The secure microprocessor stores instructions to encrypt payment information for the system and is in operative communication with the means for receiving payment information.
SHARED TERMINAL THAT AUTHENTICATES A USER BASED ON A TERMINAL IDENTIFIER
A shared terminal includes: circuitry to control a display to display an image to a plurality of users, the plurality of users sharing a use of the shared terminal, and obtain, from a first privately-owned terminal owned by a first user of the plurality of users, first terminal identification information for identifying the first privately-owned terminal; a transmitter to transmit, to a terminal management server, an authentication request for authenticating the first privately-owned terminal to allow login of the first user into the shared terminal, the authentication request including the first terminal identification information of the first privately-owned terminal; and a receiver to receive an authentication result indicating whether the first privately-owned terminal is authenticated to allow login of the first user, from the terminal management server. When the authentication result indicates that the first privately-owned terminal is a legitimate terminal and login of the first user is successful, the circuitry controls the display to display a screen for allowing the plurality of users including the first user to draw an image. When the authentication result indicates that the first privately-owned terminal is not a legitimate terminal and login of the first user fails, the circuitry controls the display to display a screen with an error message.
SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY SYSTEM
A significant weather advisory system for an aircraft is disclosed. The system is configured to identify, from strategic weather data, current significant weather events from weather impacted areas projected to be intersected by a geographical corridor around a projected flight path and projected to occur during determined time intervals during which the airborne vehicle is expected to pass through the weather impacted areas; compare the current significant weather events to previously identified significant weather events and detect significant changes between the current significant weather events and the previously identified significant weather events; and generate a notification for display to the flight crew via an onboard notification system that identifies the detected significant change when a significant change is detected.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING AND DISTRIBUTING INFORMATIONAL CONTENT ACROSS DISPARATE SYSTEMS
A content management system for customizing and controlling data distribution is disclosed. Data items can be customized and dispersed to disparate reception terminals according to various control mechanisms where they can convey relevant information to local or remote stakeholders. Data items can be integrated into existing data distribution structures in real time according to applicable control mechanisms and distribution protocols. Data resources can be efficiently used in distributing data under predefined and configurable conditions. Control mechanisms and distribution protocols can be determined based on an interested user's recognized status within the system. Design of the distribution system allows for informed delivery of essential information in a controlled and automated fashion such that users can interact with the system in receiving or distributing current and relevant information across the distribution network for others to access.
Electronic device including display and method of providing private information
A method of providing private information from an electronic device, includes identifying private information for display on the display of the electronic device, determining if a private output connection is established, and, in response to determining that the private output connection is established, providing the private information via the private output connection.
Mobile terminal and method for controlling the same
The present disclosure relates to a mobile terminal capable of fingerprint recognition, and a control method thereof. A mobile terminal according to the present disclosure may include a terminal body, a display unit disposed on a front surface of the body, a sensing unit configured to receive a user's touch input to recognize the user's fingerprint, and a controller configured to display preset screen information on the display unit while the user's touch input is applied to the sensing unit based on the authentication of the recognized user's fingerprint.
System And Method For Protecting Sensitive On-Screen Information
People use their mobile devices anywhere and anytime to run various apps, and the information shown on their device screens can be seen by nearby unauthorized parties, referred to as shoulder surfers. To mitigate this privacy threat, techniques have been developed utilizing human vision and optical system properties to hide the users' on-screen information from the shoulder surfers. Specifically, the proposed techniques discretize the device screen into grid patterns to neutralize the low-frequency components so that the on-screen information will blend into the background when viewed from the outside of the designed visible range.
Systems and methods for providing a visible watermark in a remote session
Systems and methods for providing a visible watermark in a remote session. The methods comprise: determining if a graphic update needs to be made at a client computing device during the remote session; generating a first graphic update message in response to a determination that a graphic update is needed; identifying pixels of the graphic which would be affected by at least one watermark if the graphic and watermark were both displayed on a screen of the client computing device; constructing a second string of commands specifying a new color value for each of the pixels that were previously identified; converting the first graphic update message to a second graphic update message by inserting the second string of commands in between a first string of commands and an End-Of-Frame (EOF) command; and communicating the second graphic update message from the sever to the client computing device.
Information processing system, information processing apparatus, method of controlling the same, and storage medium
An information processing apparatus that transmits image information being displayed on a display unit to a client to causes the client to display the image information, when combining an image of a cursor with the image information being displayed on the display unit and storing a result of the combining, in a case that it is determined that the image information is information of a screen for inputting information having confidentiality, restricts viewing of the image of the cursor in the image information and transmits the image information in which the viewing of the image of the cursor is restricted to the client.
DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
A display apparatus capable of omitting a device discovery process and a service discovery process and simplifying a W-Fi Direct connection procedure includes a memory; a display; communication circuitry configured to communicate with the server and the source device; and a controller configured to execute the screen mirroring service with the source device. The controller is configured to, when a start command of the screen mirroring service is input by a user, control the display to display the source device connected to a cloud account, in response to an input of the user who selects the source device, to perform the Wi-Fi Direct connection with the source device based on first Wi-Fi Direct configuration information stored in the memory and second Wi-Fi Direct configuration information obtained from the server, and to control the display to output a screen of the source device.
