Broadcast reception device and video display method
A broadcast reception device receives a digital broadcast service capable of executing an application cooperating with a broadcast program, and is provided with: a broadcast reception unit which receives broadcast waves of the digital broadcast service; a separation unit which separates video information relating to the broadcast program and application-related information from the received broadcast waves; a broadcast video decoding unit which decodes the video information relating to the broadcast program; an application acquisition unit which acquires an application on the basis of location information included in the application-related information; an application execution unit which executes the acquired application and acquires additional data from a server device; a video conversion unit which converts broadcast program video decoded by the broadcast decoding unit into high-quality video having a higher quality than the video using the acquired additional data; and a display unit which is able to display the high-quality video.
Displaying area adjustment
In an embodiment of the invention, a portable electronic device may conserve power while in a normal power mode. The display screen of the portable electronic device may be switched from an original screen mode to an adjusted screen mode. In adjusted screen mode, the display screen may display an adjustable displaying area that is reduced from an original size and it may include an inactive area sized to reduce display consumption of power. An original interface, or a portion thereof, may be displayed in the adjustable displaying area. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Portable terminal and method for partially obfuscating an object displayed thereon
A portable terminal and a method for protecting a displayed object on a screen of a portable terminal are provided. The method includes detecting an input on the screen; forming an area corresponding to a position of the detected input; and displaying a part of an object corresponding to the formed area differently from another part of the object in an area outside of the formed area.
Information Display Method and Terminal
An information display method and a terminal, where the method includes detecting a distance between a terminal screen and a face, displaying first content when the distance between the terminal screen and the face satisfies a first distance condition, and displaying second content when the distance between the terminal screen and the face satisfies a second distance condition, where the first content and the second content are at least partially different. Hence, the method and the terminal resolve a problem that a display manner of the terminal is monotonous, and different content cannot be displayed based on a user requirement. The method can be used in various terminal devices, such as a personal computer and a smartphone.
Screen for a free viewing mode and a restricted viewing mode
A screen for operation in a free viewing mode or a restricted viewing mode, comprising: an image reproduction unit, a plate-shaped transparent light guide in front of the image reproduction unit and luminous means arranged on sides of the light guide. The image reproduction unit is arranged behind the light guide. In the free-viewing mode, the luminous means are switched off, with the result that the light which comes from the image reproduction unit and onto which image information is modulated passes through the light guide substantially without influence. The luminous means are switched on in the restricted-viewing mode. A light emission characteristic is generated either on the basis of scattering particles which are distributed spatially and/or in terms of the concentration in the light guide or on the basis of coupling elements arranged on at least one of the large surfaces of the light guide.
Display device and method of controlling same
Provided is a display device including a first display unit, a second display unit arranged on a back side of the first display unit, a generation unit configured to perform predetermined image processing on first image data to generate second image data, and a control unit configured to select one of a plurality of display modes including a first display mode on which the first display unit displays an image based on the first image data and the second display unit displays an image based on the second image data, and a second display mode on which the first display unit and the second display unit display the image based on the first image data.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SELECTING AND DISPLAYING AN OPERATING PROTOCOL FOR AN AERIAL VEHICLE
A method for selecting and displaying an operating protocol for an aerial vehicle using a multi-layer architecture can include receiving, at one or more computing devices, data indicative of one or more operating parameters of the aerial vehicle. The method can include determining, by the one or more computing devices, the operating state of the aerial vehicle based on the data. The method can include selecting, by the one or more computing devices, an operating protocol based on the determined operating state. The operating protocol can specify one or more executable steps to be performed in response to determining the operating state of the aerial vehicle. In addition, the operating protocol can be selected using a control layer of the multi-layer architecture. The method can include displaying, by the one or more computing devices, the operating protocol on a feedback device viewable by an operator of the aerial vehicle.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERRENCE AND DETECTION OF LEAKAGE DURING REMOTE INTERACTIVE SESSIONS
A server includes a hardware platform, a hypervisor platform, and a virtual machine operating as an independent guest computing device. The virtual machine executes a remote graphics generation protocol to generate a bitmap to be transmitted for display on a client machine associated with the virtual machine, determine a protection label to be inserted within the bitmap, and determine an optimization technique to be performed on the bitmap. The remote graphics generation protocol also determines if the optimization technique, if performed, alters the protection label. If yes, then the protection label is inserted within the bitmap without performing the optimization technique. If no, then the optimization technique is performed and the protection label is inserted within the bitmap.
PIXEL CIRCUIT AND DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
Disclosed is a pixel circuit. The pixel circuit includes: a capacitor coupled between a first node and a second node; a driving element connected to a first constant voltage node, the second node, and a third node; a light emitting element connected to a fourth node and a second constant voltage node; a first switch element; a second switch element; a third switch element connected between the fourth node and the second constant voltage node or between the fourth node and a fourth constant voltage node; a fourth switch element connected between the first node and a third constant voltage node; a fifth switch element connected between the second node and the third constant voltage node or between the first node and the second node; and a sixth switch element connected between the third node and the fourth node.
SYNCHRONIZED DISPLAY OF SCREEN CONTENT ON NETWORKED DEVICES
A system configured to synchronize the displays of multiple infusion pumps is provided. In some embodiments, the system includes a plurality of infusion pumps in communication with a server. An individual infusion pump synchronizes its internal clock by communicating with the server. Based on the synchronized internal clock, the infusion pump determines the current time, calculates a parameter based on the current time, and causes screen content corresponding to the calculated parameter to be displayed.
