Musical instrument
A musical instrument including a vibrating member, such as a string, and a clamping mechanism. The clamping mechanism can include a first clamping member and a second clamping member. The first clamping member and the second clamping member can move between a first, undamped position to a second, clamped position. The clamping mechanism divides the vibrating member into a first portion and a second portion when the clamping mechanism is in the second, clamped position.

Kinetic-powered battery systems for musical instruments and related methods
Kinetic-powered battery systems for musical instrument that can build a charge based on some or all of the physical motion exerted upon the musical instrument. This physical motion can arise from any conceivable activity, including (but not limited to) handling, travel activity, playing the musical instrument and/or intentionally shaking the musical instrument to build a charge prior to use. The kinetic rechargeable power system for musical instruments has application in any conceivable musical instrument, including (but not limited to) acoustic and electric instruments, wireless transmitters or microphones or any related sound reinforcement equipment currently using batteries and subject to movement in travel, setup, use, or intentional movement to create sufficient charge.
Stringed instrument
A stringed instrument having a body including a back surface, a top head portion, and a treble-side. A cutaway can be defined in the body adjacent the top head portion on the treble side, the cutaway defining a cutaway edge. A cutout can be defined in the back surface, the cutout extending from the top head portion along at least a portion of the cutaway edge, the cutout defining a cutout surface. A neck can extend from the body, a portion of the neck disposed on a front side of the top head portion. A neck plate can be disposed on a back side of the top head portion, at least a portion of the neck plate positioned on the cutout surface, wherein the neck plate includes a plate cross section that corresponds to a cross section of the cutout at a location proximate the top head portion.
Guitar neck positioning adjustment system and method
An insert is provided for insertion in a space between a guitar neck and a guitar body to provide for adjustment of the geometric characteristics of the assembled guitar. The insert is configured to allow insertion of the insert body into the space without dismounting the guitar neck from the body. Using scanning of the guitar neck and guitar body mounting points, an exterior surface configuration of the insert can be calculated to yield the desired geometric characteristics.
Nano-polymer bonded musical instrument string
A musical instrument string covalently and/or ionically bonded with a nano-polymer substance. The nano-polymer substance can be hydrophobic and/or oleophobic, such that it can substantially repel water and/or oils and thereby prevent corrosion, oxidation, and/or other degradation of the musical instrument string. The bonding of the nano-polymer substance to the musical instrument string can also improve the musical instrument string's tone.
Dynamic fret
A mechanical device is described, integrated in a fret board of a cord-type music instrument as replacement of a fret adapted to cross the fret board from the front surface to the rear surface of the fret board; the mechanical device comprises: a bridge element arranged on the rear surface of the fret board; a rider means, adapted to vertically cross the fret board of the cord-type music instrument and to be connected with the bridge element; an elastic means, equipped with a first end connected to the bridge element, and with a second end strictly connected to at least one room obtained in the fret board.
Carbon Fiber Guitar
A stringed musical instrument comprises a bridge that receives a plurality of strings. The bridge comprises at least one internal pocket. In some embodiments, the bridge comprises a plurality of internal pockets.
