ACOUSTIC-ELECTRONIC MUSIC MACHINE
A music machine, comprising: a platform; a plurality of arcos disposed around a perimeter of the platform, the plurality of arcos disposed in a substantially vertical orientation; a central mast disposed substantially at a center of the platform; and a hand wheel disposed on the central mast, wherein each of the plurality of arcos is strung with a musical instrument string, and wherein each musical instrument string is tuned to produce a musical tone when caused to vibrate.

Hand exercise device
A hand exercise device comprising a base with a generally planar surface, and at least one string held at a substantial angle of inclination with respect to the planar surface of the base. The hand exercise device can be adapted to perform hand exercises that involve applying a pushing force to move the string such that the string is in contact with the planar surface of the base. The hand exercise device can be modified to include a plurality of strings of different thicknesses held at a substantial angle of inclination to facilitate variable exercise resistance. The hand exercise device can benefit patients by increasing grip strength, improving hand function, and/or alleviating joint pain.
Electric guitar
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to guitars or other string instruments that incorporate materials that are lighter than wood. Rather than achieving weight reduction by solely removing wood, which can weaken the structural integrity of the guitar and negatively alter sound quality, this disclosure provides replacement of removed wood with materials commonly used in aerospace.
Musical instrument
A stringed musical instrument includes a string which, when vibrated, produces sound. Both ends of the vibrating portion of the string touch glass.
Quick release pickup mounting for stringed instruments
An improved body for a stringed instrument wherein the pickups are extended from a mount that can be removed from and replaced into a pocket in the rear surface of the instrument body without the use of tools. When the pickup mount is fully seated in the pocket in the rear surface of the body of the instrument, the pickups protrude through openings in the front surface of the body or pickguard in their proper location in relationship to the strings. Retractable tapered projections secure the pickup mount in the pocket in the instrument body. Pickups can be changed quickly during live performances. Unlimited combinations of pickups can be explored in order to find the best tones. The beauty of the front of the guitar is preserved while flexibility in sound is gained.
String clamping system for musical instruments
A string clamping and tuning mechanism for stringed instruments is disclosed, where the string tension actuates one or more levers to generate two points of clamping force along the string. In a first embodiment, a single lever is used to generate two points of clamping force along the string. In a second embodiment, the clamping force is less concentrated at a first point of clamping force than a second point of clamping force to optimize the holding power of the mechanism. In a third embodiment, a second lever with a screw adjusted stop causes an increase or decrease in the tension in the string.
Vibration-sensing music instrument mountable device
A music instrument mountable device. The music instrument mountable device includes a vibration sensing device configured to detect a note being played on a music instrument. The music instrument mountable device also includes an attachment. The attachment includes a magnet configured to releasably secure the vibration sensing device to the music instrument. The attachment also includes a ferromagnetic attachment configured to attach to the music instrument. The magnet and the ferromagnetic attachment are configured to magnetically connect the vibration sensing mountable device to the music instrument.
Playing aid for a stringed instrument
A playing aid for a stringed instrument comprises an alignment means arranged in use to be located on the neck of the instrument. The alignment means comprises a linear alignment element arranged in use to extend substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the neck of the instrument. The aid further comprises a glider comprising having a collar arranged to receive a part of the player's hand. The aid further comprises a coupling means arranged to couple the glider slid-ably to the linear alignment element of the alignment means.
Simplified banjo and drum body
The present invention is directed to a Simplified Banjo and Drum Body where the body section of the instruments will consist of an upper compression ring with grooves on the lower surface, a shell having mating compression grooves on the upper edge surface and the banjo head material. An optional tone ring can be added on the inner surface of the shell. The unique feature of this application is that when the compression ring is tightened down on the shell of the instrument the head material is automatically tightened over the instrument.
