Instrument stand system
A manufacture for supporting a guitar having a neck and a base that extends downward from a distal end of said neck, the apparatus comprising a neck cradle and a leg that comprises a first section, the first section extending downward from the neck cradle, wherein the neck cradle comprises a first face, a second face, and a third face that is opposite the second face, wherein the first section of the leg comprises a first surface, and wherein the first face comprises a curved section that extends between the second and third faces and that supports a neck of a guitar, as a result of which, when the first face supports the guitar, there exists a force vector having first and second components.
STAND FOR SUPPORTING A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
A musical instrument stand is detachably secured to a musical instrument and is movable from a stowed position into a deployed position to support the musical instrument in an upright orientation. The stand includes a low-profile track that is attached to the back of the instrument and an assembly that is configured to removably receive the track to secure the assembly to the musical instrument via the track. The assembly has a base member and a leg member that is pivotally attached to the base member at the tops thereof and is pivotal between the stowed and deployed positions. In the stowed position, the leg member lays against the base member. In the deployed position, the leg member forms together with the base member and instrument an A-frame like support for the instrument. The stand is low profile in relation to the musical instrument and does not interfere with the normal operation of the instrument.

STORAGE CASE FOR MUSICAL ACCESSORIES
A storage case for musical accessories includes a compartment comprising a sidewall and a bottom wall, the sidewall defining a top end and a bottom end, the bottom wall coupled to the bottom end of the sidewall, the top end of the sidewall defining a compartment opening; and a substantially cylindrical accessory mount extending from the bottom wall towards the opening, the accessory mount extending substantially parallel to the sidewall, the accessory mount configured to receive a cylindrical musical accessory placed over and around the accessory mount.
Attachable accessory for changing the timbre of a stringed instrument
An accessory for changing the timbre of a stringed instrument is provided, comprising a body having a vertical opening and a horizontal slot formed in the bottom surface from one edge into the vertical opening; an adjustment rod within the horizontal slot; and a dampener within the vertical opening associated with at least one string of the stringed instrument to which the accessory is attached. The adjustment rod has an upwardly angled inner end within the vertical opening in the body. The dampener comprises a dampener body; a soft fabric covering a top surface; and a bottom surface having a horizontal groove with a downwardly angled top surface matching the angle of the angle of the adjustment rod. Moving the adjustment rod inwardly moves the dampener upward and applies pressure to the string; moving the adjustment rod outwardly moves the dampener downward and reduces the pressure on the string.

STRINGED INSTRUMENT TEACHING APPARATUS AND METHOD
The invention provides an apparatus (10) adapted to teach wrist position of a non-bowing arm (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) in a pupil playing a stringed instrument, and a method of monitoring correct wrist position. The apparatus (10) comprises a non-contact proximity sensor (22), a proximity information transmitter (23); related circuitry (20), a power source (21) and, in one embodiment, a housing (11, 12). The housing is attachable to the stringed instrument in an operating position; and the non-contact proximity sensor (22) is positioned so that when the housing (11, 12) is in the operating position, the non-contact proximity sensor (22) is sensitive at least to when an inner part (8) of the wrist or hand of the pupil comes closer to the non-contact proximity sensor than a threshold distance (D) associated with misalignment of the hand (2) and forearm (3) of the pupil.
