An auxiliary string pressing device for guitar playing includes a bracket, wherein the bracket having a bracket mounting structure, the bracket is provided with elastic pieces, each elastic piece having a fixed end and a movable end, the fixed end of the each elastic piece and the bracket being connected by an elastic piece fast mounting structure, a front face of the movable end of the each elastic piece is provided with a key, and a back face of the movable end of the each elastic piece being provided with a string pressing block. The auxiliary string pressing device uses an elasticity of the elastic pieces to reset, wherein a structure is simplified. The elastic piece fast mounting structure of the elastic pieces and the bracket enable the elastic pieces to be replaced by such a mounting structure.

A stringed instrument has a stringed instrument neck that is removably attached to a stringed instrument body. A back plate is attached to a recess in a back side of the stringed instrument body. A latching mechanism can be mechanically affixed to the back plate. A latch pin retainer of the latching mechanism can include a slot formed therein. A latch pin can extend through the slot of the latch pin retainer, where the latch pin can be resiliently urged into a first position, with a lip of the latch pin operable to be secured against a latch pin catch disposed in the stringed instrument neck. A button is operable to move the latch pin into a second position with the lip disengaged from the latch pin catch, permitting separation of the stringed instrument neck from the stringed instrument body. A headstock can further be removably attached to the neck.

A device for altering the musical sounds produced by string instruments is disclosed. The device is adapted to be reversibly wrapped around and attached to a set of strings of a string instrument. The device includes a top portion and a bottom portion; an exterior surface and an interior surface; a sound altering material located on the interior surface at a location that is configured to make contact with the set of strings when the device is attached to a string instrument; one or more compartments located on the exterior surface that are configured to receive and hold a pick; and an aperture located on the exterior surface that is configured to receive and hold a string instrument tuner.

A plurality of light emitting diodes are positioned on the neck and coupled to the control circuit. The control circuit is configured to synchronicitously energize the LEDs with an audio file that is executed by the digital audio device. The control circuit is configured to synchronicitously energize the LEDs according to instructions received external to the acoustic musical instrument. The speaker is communicatively coupled to the amplifier board. The digital audio device captures sounds that are generated by the acoustic musical instrument.

A foldable stringed instrument having a neck and/or body that may assume a reduced profile by folding an upper neck portion away from the playing position through the use of a translating bridge assembly and a translating truss assembly, wherein the foldable stringed instrument is capable of housing or otherwise being coupled to any of a variety of electronics or electrical components (e.g. a smart phone or tablet computer) having one or more applications (apps) for driving the operation, functionality and/or effects associated with the foldable stringed instrument.
