WIND INSTRUMENT
A wind instrument includes: a tube body; and a plurality of tone hole tubes each having an outer open end formed at the outer periphery of the tube body and an inner open end formed through the outer opening end and opening to the inside of the tube body, wherein at least one of the tube body and the tone hole tube is curved such that the plurality of outer open ends of the plurality of tone hole tubes are disposed so as to be in positions corresponding to respective fingers of the performer, and the plurality of inner open ends are connected at positions that cause the tube body to produce a predetermined pitch.
Systems to raise pads of musical instruments
Systems for raising pads on musical instruments to enable drying of pads and increase air flow around the pad and a body of the musical instrument. A vent spanner device, including a positioning feature and a retention feature, is placed between a pad and its corresponding vent to create an air gap. A pad prop is placed against a key mechanism or between the key mechanism and/or the body to raise a pad from sealing its corresponding vent. A linkage feature connects one or more vent spanners, pad props, end pieces, key mechanisms, or the body, and provides storage.
ADHESION CONTACT PAD FOR MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND METHOD
A musical instrument protection system includes a plurality of pad devices each having any shape, a body including an adhesive side, a contact side, and a thickness. The pad device is defined by the adhesive side and the contact side, separated by the thickness which can be any color or design. The contact side may be in contact with a hand of a user during an in-use installed condition, and the adhesive side is configured to be adhered to an outer surface of a musical instrument such that it provides a protective barrier for protecting finished outer surfaces, preserving and sometimes enhancing the acoustics of the musical instrument.
Acoustic product composed of composite material
The invention relates to an acoustic product composed of composite material, such as a musical musical instrument, a part thereof, an acoustic equipment or like, which is manufactured from raw material comprising at least cellulose based substance and plastic based substance by means of a thermoplastic process, such as by pressing, compression molding, injection molding, extrusion, blow molding by heat, rotational molding and/or the like. The acoustic product has a material composition consisting of fiber substance (1) based on surface modified cellulose and plastic based substance (2), wherein the product has an essentially wood-like, but isotropic sound.
PISTON FOR WIND INSTRUMENTS
A piston for a wind instrument includes a one-piece body, the one-piece body defining a plurality of ports and one or more windways each connecting at least a subset of the plurality of ports. The plurality of ports and the one or more windways are formed by processing a single piece of a material to remove a portion of the material from the single piece. The single piece of the material can be a cylindrical rod of the material. The one-piece body can be made of aluminum, an aluminum alloy, brass, a nickel-copper alloy, or stainless steel. The surface of the piston can be hard coat anodized and/or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) sealed.
SOUND DEFLECTOR FOR WIND INSTRUMENTS
A sound deflector for a wind instrument has a sound deflector plate and a device for the mounting thereof on the edge of a bell of the wind instrument. The device for mounting the deflector plate has an upper part and a lower part, which are respectively fastenable on the outer surface or the inner side of the bell edge. The upper and lower parts are connected to one another by means of a hinge. According to the invention, the lower part and upper part each have at least two nubs having rounded edges. When the upper and lower parts are brought together, the nubs of the upper part and lower parts are each arranged offset in relation to one another. The sound deflector enables fastening on instruments having bell edges of different shapes and curvatures or on music stands. The offset arrangement of the nubs on the mounting device enables a clamping fastening on a bell edge. The sound deflector according to the invention is therefore universally usable.
Musical instrument restringing device
A restringing device for a stringed instrument may include a guide chuck with one or more guide holes. The restringing device may also include one or more mandrils traversing through the one or more guide holes in a z-direction to restring a string around a tuning peg of the stringed instrument.
Woody Material for Wind Instrument, Wind Instrument, and Production Method of Woody Material for Wind Instrument
An object of the present invention is to provide a woody material for a wind instrument superior in resistance to a moisture change. The woody material for a wind instrument comprises: a plurality of veneers being laminated; and at least one buffer layer comprising a fibrous sheet constituted from a nonwoven fabric or a woven fabric, and an adhesive with which the fibrous sheet is impregnated, the buffer layer being interposed between adjacent two of the plurality of veneers.
COMPUTATION DESIGN OF ACOUSTIC RESONATORS
One embodiment of the present application sets forth a method for simulating an audio output of a three-dimensional object that includes a resonant cavity. The method includes receiving an input mesh of a three-dimensional shape and a hole configuration. The input mesh has an outer surface and an internal cavity, and the hole configuration includes one or more holes. The method further includes adding the one or more holes to the three-dimensional shape based on the hole configuration to generate a modified three-dimensional shape having a resonant cavity. The resonant cavity includes the one or more holes and the internal cavity. The method further includes determining an air pressure coefficient matrix for the resonant cavity. The method further includes computing a minimum non-zero eigenvalue for the air pressure coefficient matrix. The method further includes determining an output resonant frequency for the resonant cavity based on the minimum non-zero eigenvalue.
