A drum pedal apparatus includes a base or base plate, a footboard pivotably coupled to the base plate, the footboard operable to drive a mallet to strike a drum, and a clamping mechanism attached to the base plate adjacent the footboard. The clamping mechanism includes a first lever arm adapted to couple the drum pedal apparatus to a drum hoop of a drum, a pivot assembly coupled to the first lever arm, and a second lever arm coupled to the first lever arm via the pivot assembly. The second lever arm can be adapted to operate the clamping mechanism, where the clamping mechanism applies a selected clamping force to the drum hoop responsive to the second lever arm pivoting relative to the first lever arm at the pivot assembly.

A versatile cajn having a compact footprint that incorporates actuators for an internal bass-beater and an external hi-hat. The cajn may further serve as a base for supporting additional percussive instruments, such as snare drums, tom drums, cymbals, and Latin percussion. In an embodiment, a bass drum pedal may be secured inside the cajn and having a rotating shaft protruding through a side wall of the cajn. The shaft protrusion may be coupled to a foot pedal in an actuating manner. As such, when a percussionist presses down on the foot pedal (e.g., with a foot action), the shaft rotates the beater head to strike an internal wall of the cajn, thereby producing a bass-like percussive sound. Similarly, the system may include a hi-hat pedal and shaft combination that is also attached directly to one or more external side walls of the cajn.

An improved drum stick for use with all types of musical percussion instruments is disclosed. Hybridized wood materials are used for two sections or portions of the drum stick. The body or middle section of the drum stick is fabricated from a woven carbon fiber tube which is connected to a tip section or portion of the drum stick and its oppositely disposed butt section or portion of the drum stick, both of which are fabricated from a laminate wood composite material, known as hornwood. The combination of the woven carbon fiber tube with the tip section and its oppositely disposed butt section fabricated from hornwood results in a drum stick that has a precise pitch and weight while producing a very fast rebound off of the drum head.

A pedal angle adjusting device is coupled to a coupling arm such as to be pivotable about an axis. Also, the pedal angle adjusting device is coupled to a free end of a pedal such as to be pivotable about an axis and arranged to be fixable to the free end of the pedal.

A supporting apparatus (40) for a kick pad (1) includes a supporting frame (4144) that supports a kick pad (1) including a piezoelectric element that converts a vibration generated by beating with a beater into an electric signal and outputs the electric signal, and a fixation frame (51, 52) that fixes the supporting apparatus (40) to an inner surface of a shell of a bass drum while a striking surface (2a) of the kick pad (1) is arranged in a position beaten by the beater.

A marching drum articulation dampener for percussion instrument holder that allows attachment to a user mounted carrier. The holder allows adjustment for positioning about the user, and pivoting of the holder to allow the holder to pivot or rotate up to allow the holder with instruments to fit a narrower space. The holder further allows the pivotal attachment of individual drums to link or pivot allowing the linked drums to articulate. The holder can also consist of members that allow a connected drum to move in horizontal position, angle, or height of the drum. A plurality of unique drum connecting members is disclosed that allow the connecting members to connect onto drum tension rods or on a drum lug. A lift assisting mechanism is used to assist in lifts drums from a horizontal to a vertical orientation.

The present invention provides a dual shell drum compact in depth, and thus is less cumbersome, more easily transportable, and has a better range of positioning options, than conventional drums. Further, the dual shell drum of the invention provides a broader tonal range and superior sound projection compared to conventional single shell drums.

A drum dampening device includes a foam pad adapted to be selectively engageable with drum wires on the drum. The foam pad is configured to dampen vibrations of the drum wires when the foam pad is engaged with the drum wires. A support plate is coupled to the foam pad, and a base plate is coupled to the support plate. An adjustment lever is coupled to the support plate and the base plate. The adjustment lever is selectively transitional between a first position and a second position, with transition of the adjustment lever from the first position toward the second position causing at least a portion of the support plate to move away from the base plate resulting in engagement of the foam pad with the drum wires.

A noise maker stop assembly for use with a percussion foot pedal is described. The noise maker stop assembly typically comprises a noise maker attached to an extended elongated shaft, mounting brackets, and a bumper or tension strap for rapidly stopping the extended elongated shaft. Typically, the mounting brackets may be coupled to an existing standard percussion or similar foot pedal. The mounting brackets may also be configured so as to be coupled to a particular percussion foot pedal. A percussion foot pedal having an integrated noise maker stop assembly is also contemplated.
