STAFF STENCIL AND METHOD OF USE
20220005445 · 2022-01-06 ·

A stencil device and associated method of use for drawing, painting, etching, or otherwise marking multiple parallel lines are disclosed. The stencil may include two or more slots for drawing parallel lines, with even spacing between the lines. The stencil may also include multiple groupings of multiple slots. The stencil may be used for drawing a single musical staff, or may be configured so as to enable easy and repeatable marking of multiple musical staves. The slots may have varying widths and shapes, such as including curves, to allow for maintaining a substantially straight line even if the material of the stencil flexes or deforms during use. Various widths of slots may also be used to accommodate different marking instruments and dip diameters of different instruments.

Methods and systems for vocalist part mapping

Systems and methods for mapping parts in a digital sheet music file for a harmony. The method may include receiving a selection of a music segment for part mapping, receiving a digital sheet music representation of the selected music segment, and determining a plurality of plausible part mapping for the digital sheet music representation. A part mapping identifies one or more distinct musical parts in the digital sheet music representation, each of said one or more distinct musical parts corresponding to a performer of the harmony. The method may also include analyzing one or more features of the plurality of plausible part mapping to identify a highest probability part mapping based on previously stored information, and outputting the highest probability part mapping.

Method and system for generating musical notations for musical score
11756515 · 2023-09-12 ·

Disclosed is a computer-implemented method and system for generating musical notations for a musical score. The method comprises receiving, via a first user interface, a musical note event of the musical score, processing, via a processing arrangement, the received musical note event of the musical score to determine one or more relevant music profile definitions therefor, defining, via the processing arrangement, one or more parameters to be associated with the received musical note event of the musical score based, at least in part, on the determined one or more relevant music profile definitions therefor and generating, via the processing arrangement, at least one notation output for the received musical note event of the musical score based on the defined one or more parameters associated therewith.

METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING A SONG
20230351988 · 2023-11-02 ·

A computer-implemented method for identifying a song includes: providing audio data including musical notation information for songs, receiving a real-time audio signal of a user performing on an instrument, detecting playing activity in successive segments, detecting notes and/or chords from the audio signal, storing user play history information including of information of songs a user has played before and number of plays, based on the play history information calculating a first probability for a song, based on first probabilities for a number of songs and based on the detected playing activity and the detected notes and/or chords, estimating the song being performed. The estimation includes calculating a second probability for different songs. The second probabilities are defined by the audio signal corresponding with a particular song of the play history combined with first probability associated with the song, and providing the song the user is performing or related information.

METHOD FOR TEMPO ADAPTIVE BACKING TRACK

A computer-implemented method includes: providing backing track audio data, wherein each backing track includes information of at least: song tempo, tonal content that is synchronized with the backing track audio, selecting a song, receiving a real-time audio signal of the user's performance, estimating parameters, based on the audio signal, including at least: playing activity of the user, wherein detecting whether the user is producing any sounding notes with a musical instrument, tempo of the user's playing, and playing position of the user within the selected song, estimating the reliability of the estimated tempo and play position of the user, wherein a value of the reliability represents the probability that the amount of error in the estimated user tempo and play position is sufficiently small, and when the estimated reliability of the user position and tempo is sufficiently high, start playing the backing track at the user position and tempo.
