SAMPLE COLLECTION DEVICE WITH REAGENT

A fluid collection system comprises a sealed reagent container that fits inside a sample container and is unsealed by disengaging a seal comprised in a sample container. The sealed reagent container contains a reagent, such as a nucleic acid preservative. The reagent container also includes a sleeve disposed opposite the sealed opening. The sleeve includes a distal opening for receiving a sample and a proximal opening disposed in the sample container for guiding a sample from the distal opening and through the proximal opening into the sample container. Disengaging the seal releases the reagent into the sample container with the sample, where they mix.

ILLNESS DETECTION WITH MENSTRUAL CYCLE PATTERN ANALYSIS

Methods, systems, and devices for illness detection are described. A method may include identifying a menstrual cycle model associated with a menstrual cycle for a user, and receiving physiological data for the user collected throughout a first time interval and a second time interval by a wearable device. The method may include inputting the physiological data and the menstrual cycle model into a classifier, and identifying a satisfaction of deviation criteria between first and second subsets of the physiological data collected throughout the first and second time intervals, respectively, based on the menstrual cycle model. The method may include causing a graphical user interface (GUI) of a user device to display an illness risk metric associated with the user based on the satisfaction of the deviation criteria, the illness risk metric associated with a relative probability that the user will transition from a healthy state to an unhealthy state.

Testing device for a uroflowmeter

The test lab set-up includes a test flow bench for mounting one or more test devices, an adjustable nozzle for simulating urine flow, and a sensor for collecting data associated with the simulated urine flowing through the test device(s). A computing device for measuring and/or calculating various parameters associated with the simulated urine flow may also be included. The test device may have a shape corresponding to a handheld uroflowmeter subject to testing. The angle of the adjustable nozzle may be adjusted to test for various angles of urine flow. Similarly, the angle, pitch, and roll of the test device may be adjusted to test for various angles at which a uroflowmeter is held. As fluid flows through the test device, the sensor collects information such as, for example, flow rate, duration, volume, and the like. The sensor transmits the data collected to a computing device for additional processing.

ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A TRANSER TOOL, AND TRANSFER TOOL
20220401172 · 2022-12-22 ·

The invention relates to an assembly comprising a sampling device with a rod and a swab and a transfer tool for detaching the swab from the rod and transferring the detached swab to a container. The transfer tool comprises a housing enclosing a closed chamber having a swab-member passage and configured for receiving the swab-member. The housing comprises a first housing part and second housing part hinged to the first housing part. The first housing part and second housing part define an entry opening to a channel delimited by the first and second housing part. This channel extends from outside the housing to the passage. The first housing part and second housing part are rotatable around the hinge between a holding condition and a non-holding condition. The swab-member passage is configured to prevent, in holding and non-holding condition, the base from entering the passage whilst allowing, in non-holding condition, the swab member to pass through the passage. The channel and swab are configured to allow, in non-holding condition, inserting the swab-member and the base through the entry opening into the channel, advancing the swab-member to and through the passage into the chamber until the passage prevents the base from entering the passage, and to prevent, in holding condition whilst the passage blocks the base in the insertion direction and the swab-member projects through the passage into the chamber, the base from movement opposite to the insertion direction.
