Method of harmonic tuning of at least one gong of a watch striking mechanism
A method for tuning a gong of a striking watch. The gong is fastened at one end to a gong holder, which can be mounted in a watch case. The gong is struck by a hammer to be vibrated on a support of the measuring instrument to determine by a fast Fourier transform frequency peaks in a band of audible frequencies. A comparison in a first natural mode of a vibration frequency in the plane XY with a vibration frequency outside the plane Z is performed and a ratio calculation r=|f1p?f1h|/f1p, where f1p is the vibration frequency in the plane XY, and f1h is the vibration frequency outside the plane Z. If the ratio r is less than or equal to a desired value of 0.006, the gong is tuned. If it is greater, the method is repeated until the ratio value is achieved.
Retrofit Self-Annunciating Sprinkler
A water-powered residential fire suppression and alarm system is provided. The system comprises a sprinkler head, a water-powered or electrically-powered alarm, a fire-resistant transfer line assembly, and a housing assembly. The sprinkler activates upon excessive heat. The transfer line assembly provides an unclosable channel connecting an existing residential water source with the sprinkler head. The transfer line assembly includes a fire-resistant transfer line connected to a multi-port coupling which connects to the existing water source. The transfer line assembly also provides water to the alarm. The housing assembly has a housing with a vertical span of about 3-12 inches. The sprinkler head and alarm are mounted to the housing assembly and the transfer line assembly is connected to the housing assembly. When water is provided to the coupling and the sprinkler head activates, water flows through the transfer line, activating the alarm.

Systems and methods for home automation integration with a doorbell
Various doorbell monitoring devices and methods are presented herein. Such arrangements may be configured to be integrated with a previously-installed doorbell and a previously-installed chime unit. A first power source may be configured to power the doorbell monitor device separate from the previously-installed doorbell and the previously-installed chime unit. A plurality of electrical connectors may be present and may be configured to be attached with preexisting terminals of the previously-installed chime unit. An actuation sensor may be present and configured to detect an actuation of the previously-installed doorbell via the two or more electrical connectors. A communication module may also be present and configured to transmit a wireless signal indicative of the ring to a receiver device.
Noise generating clapper apparatus
A noise generating clapper apparatus includes a main body sheet having a plurality of foldable flaps, the plurality of flaps having a front flap attached to a rear flap along a first fold line and a joint flap attached to the rear flap along a second fold line, and a clapper member pivotably mounted to the joint flap. The joint flap folds along the second fold line and the front flap folds along the first fold line to enclose the clapper member between the front and rear flaps in a secured position. The main body sheet is maneuvered in a shaking motion to permit the clapper member to pivot between the front and rear flaps, thereby enabling the clapper member to generate noise upon contact with the first fold line of the main body sheet.
