CHEEK AND TONGUE RETRACTOR
The retractor is a generally U-shaped device for protecting the cheek and tongue from instruments used during dental and prosthodontic procedures. The retractor has a planar base defined by two spaced arms, a pair of upright shields extending from the arms, and a posterior connector connecting the shields. The base is contoured to grip the tooth adjacent to the tooth to be treated, and thereby, secure the retractor within the patient's mouth.
RIGID TONGUE RETRACTOR
A dental device that firmly mates and rotationally orients the proximal end of a suction (evacuation) straw of a high volume extraction unit to a rigid, disposable tongue retractor firmly enough that it cannot be dislodged therefrom. This allows the device to direct the forcible movement and retention of the tongue while suctioning out saliva, water and debris from the dental patient's mouth. The device has a unique four point capture collar with two upper bands and two lower bands separated by open voids. The half bands each half encircle the shaft of the suction straw with the proximal void providing an easy connection of the straw's locking orifice to the retention post on the retractor.

Laryngoscope
A laryngoscope is described for inserting into a mouth of a patient having a tongue, the laryngoscope comprising a handle and an elongate blade detachably fixed to the handle in a plane angularly disposed with respect to the longitudinal axis of the handle. The blade includes a stationary portion and a movable portion having a surface for engaging the tongue of the patient, the movable portion mounted to the stationary portion of the blade for rotation about an axis substantially along the longitudinal axis of the blade. An operating member is manipulated by user for rotating the movable portion of the blade, wherein laryngoscopy of the patient by manipulation of the handle includes at least a rotating motion of the movable portion of the blade.

Device for immobilizing the head of a patient
A device for immobilizing the head of a patient in an installation for carrying out radiotherapy is provided, wherein the device comprises a thermoplastic mask, shaped according to the contour of the patient's head, and a mouthpiece, wherein the mouthpiece has a central part from which a spout protrudes in the direction of the mouth and from which a holding structure protrudes in the direction away from the mouth, wherein an air channel is provided which extends through the mouthpiece from the mouth-side end of the spout to the side of the central part in the direction away from the mouth, and wherein a region of the mask is shaped according to the contour of the holding structure. A method for producing such a device, to the use of such a device and to an installation for carrying out radiotherapy which comprises such a device are also provided.
Methods of and systems for measuring analytes using batch calibratable test strips
Systems and methods for measuring analytes in fluid samples are disclosed. The systems and methods employ test strips which are generally comprised of a substrate, at least one electrical connection, at least one sensing chemistry and at least one additional layer. The test strips can be batch calibrated.
Tongue Depression Auxiliary Device
A tongue depression auxiliary device composed of a brace and a support member, the brace is detachably sleeved in an oral cavity, the support member is connected to the brace, and the support member extends from the brace toward a lower jaw to support a tongue and push the tongue. The tongue depression auxiliary device can be worn no matter when a user is awake or sleeping and is capable of achieving an efficacy of increasing lung capacity and stimulating and activating fascia, and capable of achieving an effect of relieving stress and relaxing breathing, and improving the phenomenon of insomnia or snoring.
