COMBINE HARVESTER WITH WEED SEED DESTRUCTION
Weed seeds are destroyed in the chaff from a combine harvester by repeated high speed impacts caused by a rotor mounted in one of a pair of side by side housings which accelerate the discarded seeds in a direction centrifugally away from the rotor onto a stator including angularly adjustable stator surfaces around the axis. Thus the discarded seeds rebound back and forth between the rotor and the stator to provide a plurality of impacts. The seeds are carried axially of the rotor by a controlled airstream so that they move to an axial discharge location where a discharge fan is mounted. The angle of the discharge around the rotor axis can be changed to direct the seeds to the side of the combine away from a straw chopper, towards the guide fins of the tailboard of the chopper, or into the housing of the straw chopper.

Articulating cutting deck
An articulating mower deck system. The system is adapted to disable power to a blade associated with the wing deck section before the wing deck section begins to lift—from an operating position toward a folded position—yet does not interfere with blade operation when the wing deck section floats relative to a center deck section during normal operation of the deck. Articulating decks of modular construction are also provided, allowing assembly of multiple deck widths with a minimum of modular deck sections.
Internal combustion engine with electric starting system
An engine including an engine block having a cylinder defining a front of the engine, a blower housing coupled to the engine block and defining a hot half and a cool half opposite the front half, a starter mount assembly coupled to the blower housing and positioned within the cool half, an electric starter motor retained by the starter mount assembly, and a battery mounted to the blower housing and positioned in the cool half. The battery is electrically coupled to the electric starter motor.
SMART IMPLEMENTS
An example smart implement includes a power takeoff connector, one or more sensors, a controller, and a communication unit. The power takeoff connector attaches the smart implement to a tractor. The one or more sensors generate implement data. The controller is configured to determine operating parameters based on the implement data from the one or more sensors. The communication unit is configured to communicate with the tractor.
SWING-OUT SPREADER FOR AGRICULTURAL COMBINES
An agricultural vehicle spreader system having a fixed frame, a pivot frame, a pivot joint connecting the pivot frame to the fixed frame for movement about a pivot axis between an operation position and a service position, a spreader assembly, and a power transmission. The pivot joint includes a pivot shaft extending along the pivot axis. The pivot shaft has a drive input and a drive output that is spaced along the pivot axis from the drive input. The spreader assembly has one or more spreaders mounted to the pivot frame and configured to rotate about a respective spreader axis that is offset radially from the pivot axis, and a respective spreader drive input drivingly connected to each of the one or more spreaders. The power transmission operatively connects the pivot shaft drive output to each respective spreader drive input.
