SUSPENSION SYSTEM AND METHOD

An embodiment relates to a mower having a chassis and a rear suspension assembly. The chassis supports a cutter deck. The rear suspension assembly includes a support, a drive axle, and a shock absorber. The support includes a pivot, and the pivot includes a bushing to allow pivotable motion relative to the chassis. The drive axle is supported by the support and is configured to transfer power to drive at least one wheel. The shock absorber is coupled to the support and the chassis. The at least one wheel and the drive axle are configured to vertically oscillate relative to the chassis.

RADIO-CONTROLLED VEHICLE

A radio-controlled vehicle, in particular a radio-controlled lawn mower, comprising: a frame; an engine; at least one rolling unit to cause the radio-controlled vehicle, in use, to move on a ground; a drive system for each rolling unit; a remote control; a control unit, which exchanges signals with the remote control, the engine and each drive system; a belt drive assembly which is interposed between the engine and each drive system and is operated by the engine so as to cause the rotation of each drive system.

WEED SEED DESTRUCTION
20230255140 · 2023-08-17 ·

Weed seeds are destroyed in the chaff from a combine harvester by repeated high speed impacts caused by a rotor mounted in one of a pair of side by side housings which accelerate the discarded seeds in a direction centrifugally away from the rotor onto a stator including angularly adjustable stator surfaces around the axis. Thus the discarded seeds rebound back and forth between the rotor and the stator to provide a plurality of impacts. The seeds are carried axially of the rotor by a controlled airstream so that they move to an axial discharge location where a discharge fan is mounted. The angle of the discharge around the rotor axis can be changed to direct the seeds to the side of the combine away from a straw chopper, towards the guide fins of the tailboard of the chopper, or into the housing of the straw chopper.

ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER AND TURF MAINTENANCE VEHICLE INCORPORATING SAME
20220132730 · 2022-05-05 ·

A control system for use with a turf maintenance vehicle. In one embodiment, the control system may provide a discrete engine speed input that may provide one engine speed command upon actuation, but result in additional engine speed commands depending on an actuation time of the input. In other embodiments, the vehicle may include an electronic controller (EC) providing resettable property statistics for one or more properties. In still another embodiment, the EC may provide a maintenance monitor onboard the vehicle that indicates maintenance status, when maintenance tasks are due or past due, and permanently records historical information regarding maintenance tasks. The maintenance monitor may further adjust a maintenance interval before the maintenance task is again due based upon inputs to the maintenance monitor.

Harvester power takeoff clutch system including detachable extension module

A harvester power takeoff (PTO) clutch system includes a detachable PTO extension module and transmission gearbox housing, which has a clutch compartment and a clutch service port through which the clutch compartment can be accessed. A PTO clutch is disposed in the clutch compartment, while a clutch shaft extends from the PTO clutch and projects from the clutch compartment through the clutch service port. The detachable PTO extension module includes, in turn: a PTO housing extension mounted to the transmission gearbox housing; a PTO shaft rotatably coupled to the PTO clutch and projecting from the PTO housing extension in a direction opposite the transmission gearbox housing; an inner extension bearing disposed in the PTO housing extension and rotatably supporting the clutch shaft; and an outer extension bearing further disposed in the PTO housing extension and rotatably supporting the PTO shaft.

Travel route management system and travel route determination device

A travel route management system includes an area setting unit that sets a work site to an outer peripheral area SA and an area CA to be worked on an inner side of the outer peripheral area SA, and a route element selecting unit that sequentially selects a next travel route element to be traveled on next, from among multiple mutually-parallel travel route elements, the travel route elements constituting a travel route that covers the area CA to be worked. The route element selecting unit selects a U-turn travel route for moving from a travel route element serving as a movement origin to a next travel route element serving as a movement destination, the selection being made on the basis of an interval between the movement origin and the movement destination.

A flexible mower deck includes a center deck with a plurality of rotary cutting blades rotated by a belt engaging a driven pulley for each blade. A first wing deck and a second wing deck are pivotably attached to a first end and a second end of the center deck. Each of the wing decks are pivotable between a lowered mowing position and a raised transport position. A height of cut mechanism on each of the first and second wing decks raises and lowers the wing deck and includes a four bar caster wheel level mechanism holding a caster wheel sleeve in front of the wing deck in vertical alignment at any height of cut.
