The plurality of buffers are provided with mutually different buffer sizes where each of the plurality of buffers is associated with one of the groups and supplies an accumulated sound signal to a sound signal processing unit that belongs to an associated group.

A system is provided to categorize voice prints during a voice authentication. The system includes a processor and a computer readable medium operably coupled thereto, to perform voice authentication operations which include receiving an enrollment of a user in the biometric authentication system, requesting a first voice print comprising a sample of a voice of the user, receiving the first voice print of the user during the enrollment, accessing a plurality of categorizations of the voice prints for the voice authentication, wherein each of the plurality of categorizations comprises a portion of the voice prints based on a plurality of similarity scores of distinct voice prints in the portion to a plurality of other voice prints, determining, using a hidden layer of a neural network, one of the plurality of categorizations for the first voice print, and encoding the first voice print with the one of the plurality of categorizations.

A system is provided to categorize voice prints during a voice authentication. A method, system, and computer program to encode and decode a channel coherence parameter applied on a frequency band basis, where the coherence parameters of each frequency band form a coherence vector. The coherence vector is encoded and decoded using a predictive scheme followed by a variable bit rate entropy coding.

An audio encoder for providing an output signal using an input audio signal includes a patch generator, a comparator and an output interface. The patch generator generates at least one bandwidth extension high-frequency signal, wherein a bandwidth extension high-frequency signal includes a high-frequency band. The high-frequency band of the bandwidth extension high-frequency signal is based on a low frequency band of the input audio signal. A comparator calculates a plurality of comparison parameters. A comparison parameter is calculated based on a comparison of the input audio signal and a generated bandwidth extension high-frequency signal. Each comparison parameter of the plurality of comparison parameters is calculated based on a different offset frequency between the input audio signal and a generated bandwidth extension high-frequency signal. Further, the comparator determines a comparison parameter from the plurality of comparison parameters, wherein the determined comparison parameter fulfils a predefined criterion.

An audio encoder for providing an output signal using an input audio signal includes a patch generator, a comparator and an output interface. BACKWARD-COMPATIBLE INTEGRATION OF HARMONIC TRANSPOSER FOR HIGH FREQUENCY RECONSTRUCTION OF AUDIO SIGNALS
A method for decoding an encoded audio bitstream is disclosed. The method includes receiving the encoded audio bitstream and decoding the audio data to generate a decoded lowband audio signal. The method further includes extracting high frequency reconstruction metadata and filtering the decoded lowband audio signal with an analysis filterbank to generate a filtered lowband audio signal. The method also includes extracting a flag indicating whether either spectral translation or harmonic transposition is to be performed on the audio data and regenerating a highband portion of the audio signal using the filtered lowband audio signal and the high frequency reconstruction metadata in accordance with the flag.

The methods, systems, and apparatus include actions of obtaining an audio representation of speech of a target speaker, obtaining input text for which speech is to be synthesized in a voice of the target speaker, generating a speaker vector by providing the audio representation to a speaker encoder engine that is trained to distinguish speakers from one another, generating an audio representation of the input text spoken in the voice of the target speaker by providing the input text and the speaker vector to a spectrogram generation engine that is trained using voices of reference speakers to generate audio representations, and providing the audio representation of the input text spoken in the voice of the target speaker for output.

The methods, systems, and apparatus include actions of obtaining an audio representation of speech of a target speaker, obtaining input text for which speech is to be synthesized in a voice of the target speaker, generating a speaker vector by providing the audio representation to a speaker encoder engine that is trained to distinguish speakers from one another, generating an audio representation of the input text spoken in the voice of the target speaker by providing the input text and the speaker vector to a spectrogram generation engine that is trained using voices of reference speakers to generate audio representations, and providing the audio representation of the input text spoken in the voice of the target speaker for output.
