CARTRIDGE MANAGEMENT DEVICE, CARTRIDGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, METHOD FOR OPERATING CARTRIDGE MANAGEMENT DEVICE, AND PROGRAM
A library controller including a storage executes first registration processing of, in a case where registration completion information indicating registration completion in a cartridge management system is not stored in a cartridge memory provided in a cartridge, registering identification information for identifying the cartridge and the registration completion information in the cartridge memory, overwriting prohibition processing of prohibiting overwriting to the identification information and the registration completion information registered in the cartridge memory, second registration processing of registering the identification information in the storage, and execution processing of executing reading and writing of user data from and to the cartridge in a case where the identification information stored in the storage coincides with the identification information stored in the cartridge memory.
SIMULATION SYSTEM
A simulation system capable of synchronizing the input and output of signals between a plurality of simulation devices with the same accuracy as in the case of actual devices is provided with the plurality of simulation devices configured to perform processing in response to input signals and to output output signals and an input/output signal management device configured to output the input signals to the simulation devices and to receive the output signals from the simulation devices. The input/output signal management device stores processing response times p in the simulation devices. Virtual reception times vt of the output signals are individually calculated based on times t at which the input signals are output to the simulation devices and the processing response times p. One of the plurality of output signals received at the earliest virtual reception time vt is output as the input signal for another of the simulation devices.
Physical confirmation for network-provided content
A computer-implemented method includes receiving, from a remote communication device and at a server system, information that indicates a unique identifier for a physical item that corresponds to media content, the identifier differing from identifiers for other physical items that correspond to the same content; associating the received information with an account of a first user of a hosted internet service; and subsequently providing, by the hosted internet service, content that matches the content that corresponds to the physical item, based on a determination that the received information authorizes the first user to obtain the content provided by the hosted internet service.
AUTOMATED WAVELET-BASED DATA COMPRESSION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for processing online data are disclosed. One such method includes receiving a plurality of data points in a time-series at a short term storage. The method also includes calculating at least one approximation coefficient based on the plurality of data points using a wavelet transform, including calculating a highest level approximation coefficient, and calculating estimated value based on the highest level approximation coefficient. The method further includes calculating differences between the estimated value and the plurality of data points of the short term storage, and determining whether a maximum difference among the calculated differences is less than a predetermined threshold. The method further includes, based on the maximum difference being greater than or equal to the predetermined threshold, storing the oldest data point of the short term storage in a long term storage.
VIDEO CAPTURE WITH FRAME RATE BASED ON ESTIMATE OF MOTION PERIODICITY
Video capture is described in which the video frame rate is based on an estimate of motion periodicity. In one example, a period of motion of a moving object is determined at a sensor device. A frame capture rate of a video camera that is attached to the moving object is adjusted based on the period of motion. Video frames are captured at the adjusted frame rate, and the captured video frames are stored.
CONTENT RECORDING APPARATUS, CONTENT EDITING APPARATUS, CONTENT REPRODUCTION APPARATUS, CONTENT RECORDING METHOD, CONTENT EDITING METHOD, AND CONTENT REPRODUCTION METHOD
A content recording apparatus includes an obtaining unit which obtains a content having a variable-length packet structure, an encrypter which generates encrypted data by encrypting the content, and a recorder which records the encrypted data in a block unit having a fixed length in a recording medium. The encrypted data includes an invalidated region unnecessary for reproduction of the content. The recorder records a size of the invalidated region in the recording medium.
SYSTEM TO DISPATCH VIDEO DECODING TO DEDICATED HARDWARE RESOURCES
A system to perform processing operations of input (video) streams, including is disclosed. The system consists of an input module, a stream type detection engine, a plurality of processing resources a resource monitoring engine, an attribution module, a dispatching module, and various other optional interface modules.
Multimedia distribution system for multimedia files with packed frames
A multimedia file and methods of generating, distributing and using the multimedia file are described. Multimedia files in accordance with embodiments of the present invention can contain multiple video tracks, multiple audio tracks, multiple subtitle tracks, data that can be used to generate a menu interface to access the contents of the file and ‘meta data’ concerning the contents of the file. Multimedia files in accordance with several embodiments of the present invention also include references to video tracks, audio tracks, subtitle tracks and ‘meta data’ external to the file. One embodiment of a multimedia file in accordance with the present invention includes a series of encoded video frames and encoded menu information.
Custom audio messages for packaged goods
Systems and methods are described to enable the inclusion of customized audio messages into packages for physical items. Specifically, embodiments of the present disclosure enable a user, in connection with an order to physical items, to record an audio message (e.g., a gift message) to be played back on the opening of a package including the physical items. The recorded audio message can be encoded into audio data at a user computing device and transmitted over a network to a fulfillment processing system associated with the order. The fulfillment processing system can encode the audio data into a playback device included within a package of the ordered items. The playback device may include one or more sensors (such as mechanical switches, light sensors, etc.) that notify the playback device when the package is opened. The playback device can then output the audio message to a receiving party.
