20180000380 · 2018-01-04 · ·

A system is disclosed herein for providing a kinetic assessment and preparation of a prosthetic joint comprising one or more prosthetic components. The system comprises a prosthetic component including sensors and circuitry configured to measure load, position of load, and joint alignment. The system further includes a remote system for receiving, processing, and displaying quantitative measurements from the sensors. The kinetic assessment measures joint alignment under loading that will be similar to that of a final joint installation. The kinetic assessment can use trial or permanent prosthetic components. Furthermore, adjustments can be made to the applied load magnitude, position of load, and joint alignment by various means to fine-tune an installation. The kinetic assessment increases both performance and reliability of the installed joint by reducing error that is introduced by elements that load or modify the joint dynamics not taken into account by prior assessment methods.

STENT DELIVERY SYSTEM

Stent delivery device including an inner member having a distal tip, a stent support member, and a stent disposed over a stent receiving region of the stent support member. An elongated outer sheath is slidably disposed over the inner member and the stent. The stent delivery device includes a distal junction removably coupling the distal end of the outer sheath to the distal tip, where the distal junction is actuatable to decouple the outer sheath from the distal tip. The stent delivery device includes a proximal junction removably coupling a distal portion of the outer sheath to a proximal portion of the outer sheath, where the proximal junction is actuatable to decouple the distal portion of the outer sheath from the proximal portion of the outer sheath. The distal and proximal junctions may be separately actuatable by rotating the inner member relative to the proximal portion of the outer sheath.

LIGHT POINT IDENTIFICATION METHOD
20180008371 · 2018-01-11 · ·

A data processing method performed by a computer for detecting reflections of light pulses, comprising the steps: acquiring a camera signal representing a series of camera images of a camera viewing field; detecting whether the camera signal includes one or more light mark portions within the camera viewing field possibly representing a light pulse reflection; relating the detected light mark portions in the series of camera images to a pre-defined emission pattern of the light pulses; and determining that a light mark portion is a reflected light pulse, if the light mark portion in the series of camera images matches to the pre-defined emission pattern of the light pulses.

APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR PRECISE GUIDANCE OF SURGICAL TOOLS

Described herein are systems, apparatus, and methods for precise placement and guidance of tools during a surgical procedure, particularly a spinal surgical procedure. The system features a portable robot arm with end effector for precise positioning of a surgical tool. The system requires only minimal training by surgeons/operators, is intuitive to use, and has a small footprint with significantly reduced obstruction of the operating table. The system works with existing, standard surgical tools, does not required increased surgical time or preparatory time, and safely provides the enhanced precision achievable by robotic-assisted systems.

The present invention pertains to a thrombectomy device comprising a cylindrical proximal portion and one or more radiopaque segments. The cylindrical proximal portion forms a stent frame having an outer lattice network of an outer plurality of interconnecting segments. The outer plurality of interconnecting segments are configured to exert a radial force against an inner wall of a blood vessel. The radiopaque segment is formed from a plurality of radiopaque wires extending from the outer stent frame to a central axis of the thrombectomy device along a length of the stent frame. The radiopaque segment converges to a tip along with the central axis.
