Cloud-based medical analytics for linking of local usage trends with the resource acquisition behaviors of larger data set

A cloud-based analytics medical system comprises a processor, a memory, an input/output interface to access data from medical hub communication devices, each coupled to a surgical instrument, and a database to store the data. The processor aggregates patient outcome data from the medical hubs. Patient outcome data comprises data pertaining to steps performed and corresponding timings for each step in patient procedures, to an outcome of each patient procedure performed, and to medical resources used in the patient procedures. Patient outcome data comprises location data describing which medical facility the medical resource was allocated to and data indicating whether the outcome was a success or failure. The processor aggregates medical resource acquisition data from the medical hubs, determines correlation between positive outcomes and the resource acquisition data, generates medical recommendations based on the correlation, and causes display of medical recommendations to medical hubs located at different medical facilities.

An information collection method for an injection pen includes several steps as follows. The action of the pressing knob is sensed to determine whether the rotation information of the pressing knob is obtained. The traveling movement of the injection pen is sensed to determine whether the movement information of the injection pen is obtained. A determination is made that the traveling movement of the injection pen is conformed as an intending injection action according to the rotation information of the pressing knob and the movement information of the injection pen. When the traveling movement of the injection pen is conformed as the intending injection action, an actual injection dose that the injection content is pushed outwards from the injection pen is calculated according to the rotation information of the pressing knob. The actual injection dose is recorded.

AMBULATORY MEDICAMENT DEVICE WITH ALARM STATUS INDICATION

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for monitoring the status of an ambulatory medical device and the health condition of a subject that receives therapy from the ambulatory medical device. The ambulatory medical device can have a touchscreen display user interface to receive input signals from a user and display alarm conditions associated with the status of an ambulatory medical device or health condition of a subject. The disclosed methods and systems can determine whether status information received from a monitoring system interface satisfies an alarm condition for the ambulatory medicament device or for the subject. If the status information satisfies an alarm condition, the touchscreen user interface can display one or more alarm status indicators corresponding to the alarm condition. The user can activate a therapy change interface on the touchscreen display and modify a control parameter of the ambulatory medical device that controls the therapy delivery to the subject.

AMBULATORY MEDICAL DEVICE UPDATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OF THERAPY DELIVERY

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for updating an application controlling an ambulatory medical device such that application updates can be identified, downloaded and installed without interrupting therapy provided by the ambulatory medical device to a subject. The ambulatory medical device may receive an indication that an update to an application executing on the ambulatory insulin pump is available, establish a communication connection to a host computing system configured to host the application update, and download the application update. The disclosed systems and methods can determine an execution time of an installation and install the downloaded application update without interrupting therapy provided by the ambulatory medical device to the subject.

AMBULATORY MEDICAL DEVICE WITH MALFUNCTION ALERT PRIORITIZATION

An ambulatory medical device can detect a device condition and determine if the device condition satisfies a set of normal operating parameters. If the normal operating parameters are not satisfied, the ambulatory medical device can determine if the device condition stratifies a set of minimum operating parameters. If the minimum operating parameters are satisfied, the ambulatory medical device can maintain a delivery of therapy to a subject and generate an alert based on the device condition.

AMBULATORY MEDICAL DEVICE WITH THERAPY DATA SHARING VIA WIRELESS WIDE AREA NETWORK

Systems and methods presented herein relate to a method of sharing therapy data of an ambulatory medical device with a computing system of a networked computing environment. The computing system may be identified using an authorized system list that includes an address of approved computing systems. Using an address of an approved computing system, a direct end-to-end data connection may be established via a wireless wide area network. A public key of the computing system may be received permitting the ambulatory medical device to encrypt data to be transmitted to the computing system. The ambulatory medical device can transmit the encrypted therapy data to the computing system over the direct end-to-end data connection.

Methods, apparatus, and systems for integration of diagnostic laboratory devices

Methods, apparatus, and systems for obtaining sensor-generated data in a diagnostic laboratory apparatus including one or more producers of data that include a sensor, a local communications network communicatively coupling the producers to a data router configured to translate data received from producers of data into a common format record, the common format including key-value pairs, and at least one subscriber that registers one or more channel-based subscriptions with the data router. Records remain in storage by the data router until to the subscriber acknowledges successful receipt, after which the data router manages its storage resources to provide storage for newer sensor-generated data. The data router is configured to install plug-ins as needed to translate data formats of newly-integrated producers with new formats.
