Insulin Management
20230238132 · 2023-07-27 · ·

A method of administering insulin includes receiving glucose measurements of a patient at a data processing device from a continuous glucose monitoring system. The glucose measurements are separated by a time interval. The method also includes receiving patient information at the data processing device and selecting a subcutaneous insulin treatment from a collection of subcutaneous insulin treatments. The selection is based on the glucose measurements and the patient information. The selection includes one or more of a subcutaneous standard program, a subcutaneous program without meal boluses, a meal-by-meal subcutaneous program without carbohydrate counting, a meal-by-meal subcutaneous program with carbohydrate counting, and a subcutaneous program for non-diabetic patients. The method also includes executing, using the data processing device, the selected subcutaneous insulin treatment.

Provided are systems for measuring an electrocardiogram (ECG) using a wearable device. An example system includes the wearable device. The wearable device has a means for recording an electrical signal from a single wrist of a patient. The wearable device also has a means for detecting a pulse of the patient and recording a photoplethysmogram (PPG) signal, via a PPG optical sensor associated with the wearable device. The wearable device further has a means for generating the electrical signal segments being time-locked to the PPG signal by utilizing the PPG signal as a reference signal. Furthermore, the wearable device has a means for summing the electrical signal segments in a given time period and dividing by the number of segments to produce an average ECG waveform.

A medical system is disclosed. The medical system can include a patient monitoring device, a patient information system, and a mobile application. The patient monitoring device can be coupled to a patient to monitor one or more physiological parameters. The patient information system can allow the patient to communicate with a clinician. The patient information system can also provide information regarding schedules, medications, and procedures to the patient. The mobile application can be communicatively coupled with the patient monitoring device and the patient information system. The mobile application can allow a clinician to receive, view, and send information to or from the patient monitoring device and the patient information system.

DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH INCREASED SAFETY

A disposable, single-dose delivery device for self-administration by a patient of a predefined amount or dose of drug from a reservoir through an outlet of the reservoir includes a device operation lock to prevent a delivery operation of the delivery device as shipped to the patient, an embedded electronic control unit with a wireless receiver for receiving an unlock command or message, and an electromechanical actuator for mechanically unlocking the device operation lock and enabling delivery device operation by the patient. The control unit is configured to activate the actuator instantaneously and unconditionally upon receipt of the unlock command. The unlocking mechanism of the delivery device is adapted to be activated from remote in response to a confirmative message indicative of additional double check by a Health Care Professional HCP or expert system.

DETERMINING A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL HAVING EXPERIENCE RELEVANT TO A MEDICAL PROCEDURE

Systems and methods of determining a second medical professional having experience relevant to a medical procedure being performed by a first medical professional. A method of determining a second medical professional having experience relevant to a medical procedure being performed by a first medical professional comprises: obtaining a first multi-dimensional embedding vector related to the medical procedure being performed by the first medical professional. The method then comprises obtaining a plurality of candidate multi-dimensional embedding vectors related to medical experience of a corresponding plurality of candidate medical professionals, and using a model to determine the second medical professional from the plurality of candidate medical professionals, based on the first multi-dimensional embedding vector and the plurality of candidate multi-dimensional embedding vectors.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING INDIVIDUALS WITH A SLEEPING DISORDER AND A DISPOSITION FOR TREATMENT
20230238142 · 2023-07-27 ·

A system and method includes (i) providing patient data stored in a data repository, (ii) applying a first patient identification algorithm to the patient data to identify an initial group of individuals associated with select physical and health characteristics, (iii) applying a second patient identification algorithm to the patient data associated with the initial group of individuals to identify a narrower subgroup associated with select behavioral characteristics, and (iv) generating patient identifiable information from the patient data to allow for notification. The identification of the initial group is based on a determined likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) for individuals meeting or exceeding a first threshold criteria. The identification of the narrower group is based on a determined likelihood of long-term adherence to OSA treatment for individuals meeting or exceeding a second threshold criteria. The notification is of designated entities that one or more of the individuals in the narrower subgroup are preferred individuals for OSA.
