METHOD FOR PROVIDING A NEUTRON RADIATION SHIELD, AND ACCORDING SHIELDING SYSTEM
A method for providing a neutron radiation shield includes a step (a) of providing a wall having an opening; and a step (b) of at least partially filling a space in the opening with a neutron moderator. Step (b) includes blast-injecting plastic granules into the opening with a blower device to form the neutron moderator.

Space-Based Radioisotope Production and Methods of Use
The disclosure describes various aspects of a space-based radioisotope production system and methods use. In one aspect, a propellant is accelerated by decay energy to yield thrust. The decay energy is provided by activating a target material. In one aspect, a radioisotope rocket thruster may be recharged or “reactivated” in a space-borne charging station. The activated isotopes may also be used generate electricity. The space-borne charging station may also be used for irradiating other items in space for any number of purposes.
Radiation shielding devices, systems, and methods
In general, radiation shielding systems that shield radiation from multiple directions are described. In one embodiment, a method of shielding radiation is provided, including supporting a shielding device on an object proximate a radiation source, positioning a first shielding portion in a vertical position relative to the object, positioning a second shielding portion to extend away from the first portion, the second shielding portion attached to the first portion, and shielding radiation from the radiation source by the first shielding portion and the second shielding portion such that the first and second shielding portions provide a radiation shielding zone for a healthcare practitioner.

Oncology vault structure
A plurality of wall cells rest upon an underlying cementitious foundation and form a perimeter of the vault. Each wall cell has two lateral sides with mating surfaces thereon which are of complementary undulating shape with adjacent lateral surfaces of adjacent wall cells. The wall cells have different thicknesses and widths to provide desirable wall thickness for a different portions of the oncology vault. A door assembly formed of specialized wall cells and with a pivoting door element are also included within the wall. A ceiling is provided above space inboard of the wall cells. This ceiling is formed of separate ceiling slab elements. The slabs are stacked in at least one layer. In one embodiment, multiple layers of slabs are stacked with seams between slabs of each layer offset from each other. In another embodiment, lateral sides of the slabs have a complementary undulating shape.
