BI-WIRE AUDIO SYSTEM
20230215599 · 2023-07-06 ·

A bi-wire audio cable system designed to reduce propagation velocity (V.sub.p) differentials between low and high frequencies within the audio band, by adjusting the resistive and capacitive components of the cables. By utilizing two cables, one for low frequencies and one for high frequencies, with different characteristics, the impedance of the cables can be configured to be relatively consistent across the audio spectrum, minimizing the change in V.sub.p, thereby increasing audio fidelity. The bi-wire audio system can include a first (e.g. high frequency) cable with a first plurality of insulated conductors having a first conductor gauge; and a second (e.g. low frequency) cable with a second plurality of insulated conductors having a second, larger conductor gauge. The cables can be connected together at an output of an amplifier, and can be connected to corresponding low and high frequency inputs of a speaker (e.g. a woofer and tweeter).

Electromagnetic shield member and wire harness

An electromagnetic shield member including: a case including a groove in which an electric wire is to be housed; a cover configured to be attached to the case and cover the groove; and a pressing mechanism that is housed in the groove and configured to press the electric wire, wherein the pressing mechanism has a wall that covers an outer circumferential surface of the electric wire in conjunction with the groove, and a presser provided on the wall and configured to press the electric wire.

Electric wire conductor, covered electric wire, and wiring harness

A wiring harness comprises a first covered electric wire, and a second covered electric wire. The first covered electric wire comprises a first electric wire conductor made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy and an insulator covering the first electric wire conductor. The first electric wire conductor comprises a wire strand of a plurality of elemental wires twisted together, and has a flat portion where a cross-section of the wire strand intersecting an axial direction of the wire strand has a flat shape. The second covered electric wire comprises a second electric wire conductor made of copper or a copper alloy and an insulator covering the second electric wire conductor. The second electric wire conductor has a lower flatness and a smaller conductor cross-sectional area than the first electric wire conductor of the first covered electric wire.

Flexible, interruptible radial bus and bus-mounted bead device

A multi-conductor bus with radially arranged conductor wires on which addressable bead devices that may incorporate light-emitting diodes (LEDs) or other surface mount devices (SMDs) can be easily mounted. The radial bus is designed to provide an improved range of flexibility and motion while allowing for easy addition of bead devices along its length that utilize self-addressing bus protocols such as cascading device protocols. The design of the flexible, interruptible radial bus facilitates the use of pass-through and interrupted paths along the bus that simplifies the installation of addressable devices along the bus such as the bus-mounted bead devices disclosed herein.
